The City Government of Surigao recognized the recently graduated Batang Surigaonon Scholars and awarded them with plaques of recognition today, August 20, 2024, at the Livelihood Training and Productivity Center (LTPC).
These graduates, who completed their studies with the support of City Government scholarships, were honored for their dedication and academic success.
Mayor Pablo Yves L. Dumlao II, a strong advocate for education, highlighted the importance of empowering the youth through education to help them achieve their dreams and contribute to the progress of Surigao City.
The event was organized by the City Scholar Office in partnership with the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), led by Atty. Krystel Grace C. Buniel. Mayor Dumlao personally presented the plaques, with Sangguniang Kabataan Federated President Jenelyn Edulzura also in attendance.
Graduates who earned Latin honors received additional monetary rewards for their exceptional performance.
