Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office conducted three (3) days Basic Life Support and Water Techniques Training last August 12 – 15, 2024 held at Dapitan City.
The PG – ZDN PDRRMO led by OIC – Norman M. Alegarbes and Operations Head – Mr Allen Sison conducted the three (3) day Basic Life Support and Water Rescue Techniques Training composed of fifty to newly recruited staffs, rescuers, and responders of CDRRMO Dapitan City.
Mr. Norman M. Alegarbes stressed that the trainees underwent comprehensive training that aimed to enhance the capabilities and mastery the learning basic water rescue skill that is most important for anyone who lives, works or plays near water. Water Entries, Swimming Strokes, Rescue Techniques, Survival Techniques, Basic Knots and Water Safety were discussed by Mr Allen Sison.
The training really strengthened the emergency preparedness that will equipped the rescuers especially from PDRRMO and CDRRMO the knowledge and skills needed in saving lives at sea and also during typhoons and heavy weather. (Angelica T. Obina)
