Surigao: Onsite voting for PDL in Surigao City Jail officially closed


The May 9, 2022 National and Local Elections onsite voting for the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) in Surigao City Jail was officially closed at 2 o’clock in the afternoon today. The said voting activity under two (2) precincts was held at SCJ Back Post under the strict supervision of Surigao City Jail Personnel led by City Jail Warden J/CINSP JOEL G CALIMBO.

The Regional Director of the BJMP Caraga J/CSUPT JOLLY G TAGUIAM, JR. and members of the inspection and augment team have witnessed the orderly casting of votes of the PDL during their jail visitation to ensure safe and zero incident election in observance of the Red Alert Status.

A total of 186 male and female PDL successfully exercised their suffrage, an avenue where they take part in choosing the next leader of our country toward changing lives and building a safer and greater nation.

Finally, the onsite voting was successfully done in complete observance of the Covid-19 safety protocols.
