Surigao: Mayor Paul Dumlao endorses concerns to RDC-IDC

March 15, at NEDA Conference Hall, Butuan City – Secretary Leo Magno of the Presidential Assistant (PA) for Eastern Mindanao attended as a new member and honored guest of the Regional Development Council CARAGA.

The Regional Development Council is a government body in the Philippines that is responsible for coordinating and integrating development efforts in the region. It is the regional counterpart of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and is composed of representatives from the different sectors including LGUs, the private sector, civil societies, and the academe. The council is tasked with formulating and implementing development plans, programs, and projects in the region aligned with the national development goals.

Mayor Pablo Yves L. Dumlao II, the Chairperson of the Caraga RDC-IDC, presented the Caraga Regional Development Council-Infrastructure Development Committee (RDC-IDC) agenda during the Joint RDC-Advisory Committee Meeting. He proposed the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Budget Proposal for the Infrastructure Sector to DICT, DOTr, DPWH, MARINA, and NIA with a total amount of ₱156,981.397.92 as well as other RDC-IDC resolutions for endorsement, and the City Government of Surigao’s request to implement the proposed New Surigao Airport Development Project under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme. President Assistant Magno stood firm in supporting CARAGA’s development plans and PPAs.
