Surigao: Kabakhawan ato ignajan

Officers and members of the Rotary Club of Surigao City led by President Antonio Supera Jr. together with the personnel of Surigao City Environment and Natural Resources Office planted several mangrove propagules early morning of last Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Sitio Panubigon, Brgy. Lipata, Surigao City to help improve the community’s vegetation shield against storm surges or tsunamis.

Mangroves help in balancing our ecosystem where its roots will suck toxins from the water coming down from the river. It will also be a breeding zone for some fish species that will help the need of food to our growing population. (RPN DXKS Surigao via Pres. Jun Supera & PPJC)
