Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City —– The former Sangguniang Bayan member in the municipality of Sison, Surigao del Norte, who had a Warrant of Arrest for rape was arrested by Surigao City police following the successful manhunt operation in Surigao City yesterday, July 6.
POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M. CARAMAT, JR, Police Regional Office 13 Director, revealed that Henry M Roweras, 48 years old, a resident of Purok 6, Teachers Village, Brgy. Cagniog, Surigao City was arrested around 9:15 AM in Purok 4, Brgy. San Juan, Surigao City by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 30, Surigao City, docketed under Criminal Case Number 11847 dated June 2, 2016, with no bail recommended.
Roweras is the topmost wanted person in the list of Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office.
Citing the report of Surigao City Police Station, the suspect allegedly abused his 20-year-old staff on February 10, 2016, inside his abode in Brgy. Ipil, Surigao City.
“The apprehension of the accused manifests our strong resolve in hauling to jail wanted persons, irrespective of their status in the community. Rest assured that Caraga police will continue to intensify its crime-prevention and crime-solution campaign to ensure peace and order in the region,” RD CARAMAT JR concluded.
