Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City – Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 13 contributed to the rapidly declining influence of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) in Caraga region with the arrest of a former NPA in the Barrio in Butuan City last Tuesday, October 11.
Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 Director POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M CARAMAT JR divulged that Intelligence operatives of RMFB13, personnel of 1304th MC, RMFB13, personnel of Technical Support Company RMFB 13 and personnel of Butuan City Police Station 5 apprehended in his residence Vicente Arañes Paderna, a.k.a “Tatay” male, 47 yrs old, former NPA in the Barrio, FGF4A SDG CAOCAO, farmer, and a resident of Sitio Lamusig Brgy. San Mateo, Butuan City.
The Alias Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Multiple Attempted Murder was issued by RTC, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 3, Libertad, Butuan City under Criminal Case No. 2020-595. It was published on December 16, 2020 with recommended bail bond amounting to P120,000.00.
Alias Tatay is involved in an armed encounter against members of RMFB13 conducting police operation in Sitio Lipid, Brgy. San Mateo Butuan last December 1, 2019.
