The LGU-Del Carmen in partnership with Rare – Fish Forever through its Social Protection Program, released a total of 150 Social Protection ID to fisherfolks of Del Carmen.
The purpose of having ID, means they’re already recognized as professional fishers that preserves the sanctuary, help educate other fishermen, help protect ocean resources and fisherfolks can acquire benefits from government services.
Additionally, a total of 100pcs Bontog was distributed to fisherfolk beneficiaries of Malinis at Masaganang Karagatan (MMK) 2021 competition as prize from Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources-Caraga (BFAR).
