Wedding Ceremony & Reception
The Wedding Ceremony of the Kasalan ng Bayan in the municipality of Del Carmen which conducted by its local government is considered as a ritual of getting married that also honors the culture, belief and customs of the couples and their families over the 60 Del Carmenon couples who tie knot in the mass wedding legalizing their union held at Del Carmen Convention Center, Del Carmen, Siargao Island.
During the proper wedding ceremony, Mayor JR Coro addressed his opening statement to the couples and followed by an inspirational message of the APEC Partylist Representative by Cong. Sergio Dagooc and the 1st District Representative of Surigao del Norte by Cong. Bingo Matugas through Mr. Neil Arlan.
Meanwhile, Mayor JR Coro gave the floor to the Del Carmen Sangguniang Bayan members that also shares advices to the newlyweds that could also help them grow and work in their marriage life, and leave words of enlightenment that somehow could build strong relationship despite life challenges in the future.
Mayor JR Coro as the wedding officiant then led the Marriage Rites which is sacramentally essential part of the wedding by couples’s exchanging of vows and consent, and promises of love and commitment to each other with the ecuminical prayer and blessing of the different religion and churches from the Jesus Christ is LORD Church by Pastor Isidro Conde, from the United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP) by Pastor Jun Rell Astronomo, from the Sevent Day Adventist by Church Elder Francisco Lupian and from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish Church by Msgr. Prescilo Iral, DCS.
Further, in the wedding reception, the Harana sa Kasalan were serenaded by the Bagtik Singer local artists of Siargao Island, and the cake and wine parade was led by the LGU-Del Carmen Municipal Officials and Head of Offices, while the slicing of Cakes and Tossing of Wines was made even more fun and brings joy to the croud.
