Ladgaron, Claver, Surigao del Norte – Now on its 3rd year, more than 400 Claver farmers received today November 8, 2022 the Rice Farmers’ Financial Assistance (RFFA) worth Php 5, 000.00 from the Department of Agriculture.
At least 680 local rice farmers also received the same assistance from DA last 2020 and 2021, respectively.
The said intervention aimed to help farmers affected by the low buying price of palay resulting from the implementation of Rice Tariffication Law in 2019.
Qualified farmer-beneficiaries are those who tilled and planted last December 2021 – May 2022.
