In support to the peace and order programs of the PNP, the members Surigao City Nickel Eagles Club of the Fraternal Order of Eagles led by the President PLTCOL. RUDY L. ELANDAG together with the members of the Philippine Eagles Caraga Region 3 led by Eagle Allan Japor joined the National Simultaneous Expanded Caravan in the covered Court of Brgy. Poctoy, Surigao City on March 29, 2021.
Said caravan was initiated by the Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office led by the Provincial Director PCOL. NOEL C. ESPINOZA in partnership with Surigao City Police Station through the Chief of Police PLTCOL. GLENN C. SAMPAGA, the Philippine Army and other active stakeholders.
The Caravan covers the delivery of basic services like the information education on the government programs to end local communist armed conflict, COVID 19 information drive by the DOH, Feeding Program, distribution of goods and health kits, libreng gupit and other welfare related services in coordination with the barangay officials.
PLTCOL. ELANDAG during his message emphasized the value of living in peace and harmony, while PCOL. ESPINOZA also encouraged the parents to guide their children well so they will become responsible citizens and apply to the PNP or avail other employment opportunities in the duly constituted government of the Republic of the Philippines.
The local beneficiaries of the Caravan were also thankful for the activity that enlightened them on the deceptions of the lawless elements , and the benefits of embracing the government programs to address issues in the area so that peace and harmony will become their natural way of living in their community.
