A total of ₱ 499,938.52 worth of livelihood assistance for rabbitfish (Buras) production was formally turned over to Sitio Kabugwason Fishers & Farmers Association in Surigao City.
Ms. May C. Velonta, DOLE Surigao del Norte Provincial Head, led the turn-over ceremony and was participated by the beneficiaries, headed by Mr. Florencio Magno, and representatives from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Department of Agriculture (DA), and DOLE’s accredited co-partner, LGU-Surigao City.
The 67-member association received 20,000 rabbitfish fingerlings, 300 sacks of feeds & other necessary materials. (DOLE-Surigao del Norte | PIA Surigao del Norte | RPN DXKS Surigao)
