Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City – PNP Caraga’s persistence in solving crimes led to the filing of charges against one of the three suspects in a shooting incident in Agusan del Sur and a suspect in a stoning incident in Surigao del Sur.
POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M CARAMAT, JR, Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 Director divulged that Trento Municipal Police Station (MPS) filed a murder charge against alias Brando, a resident of Tudela in Trento town before the Agusan del Sur Provincial Prosecutors Office with docket no. 13-03-INV-22F-259 dated June 1, 2022, after being positively identified by an eyewitness.
Alias Brando is allegedly one of the three suspects in a shooting incident last May 18, 2022, in P-1C, Brgy. Manat, Trento, Agusan del Sur that killed Alejandro Taguibao Notarte Jr, male, 42 years old and a resident of Sitio Taogdan, Imelda, Bunawan, ADS.
Meanwhile, a homicide charge under Article 249 of the Revised Penal Code is filed against Wilmer Labarro, a 21-year-old resident of P-4C, Brgy. Panayogon, Madrid, Surigao del Sur before the Surigao del Prosecutor Office with docket no. NPS-XIII-O7b-INV-22Fc-00113.
According to the report of Madrid MPS, Wilmer stoned to death his neighbor Nelson Crizaldo last May 28, 2022, after a heated dispute regarding wages.
“PNP Caraga will not rest until the suspects of this death incidents are put behind bars and urge the active support of our community in helping us give justice to the victim,” RD CARAMAT, JR said.
