Surigao: Carnapper Falls In Surigao City


Carnapper in Davao City arrested in a hot pursuit operation of Surigao City Police Station (CPS) pursuant to the intensified campaign against criminalities in Surigao City around 10:30 AM, October 23.

Provincial Director (PD) Police Colonel Noel C Espinoza identified the suspect as Vincent Maria Palco Yu, 29 years old, a resident of Nova Tierra, Lanang, Davao City and a native of Dasco Road, Panac-an, Mandaue City.

Per records, it was disclosed that the suspect took one unit white Toyota Conquest Hilux pick-up with plate number LAD 2653 owned by his employee, Mr. Kevin Yu Tetan, 32 years old, businessman (buy and sell cars) and resident of B2, Lot 11, Amiersia Street, Nova Tierra Village, Vicente Hizon Sr., Davao City around 11:00 AM of October 21, 2021. The victim reported the incident to San Pedro Police Station-2, CM Recto Street, Davao City and Regional Highway Patrol Group-11, Candelaria Street, Ecoland, Davao City for flash alarm.

Acted upon, Surigao CPS immediately alerted and disseminated to the troops in the area of responsibility for immediate recovery of vehicle considering the suspect may exit through boat via Lipata Port to Leyte or via Eva Macapagal Port, PPA, Bilang-bilang, Barangay Taft, Surigao City, since he is a native of Mandaue City, Cebu.

Surigao CPS operatives recovered the described vehicle parked at Bohol Traveler’s Inn, San Nicolas Street, Barangay Taft, Surigao City and apprehended the suspect.

Suspect was apprised of his constitutional rights and brought to Surigao CPS for proper disposition.

“The successful execution of manhunt operation is attributed to the partnership of the operatives and the responsive community. We will continue to pursue all criminals sought by law,” PD ended.
