Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City – The topmost wanted in the list of Police Regional Office (PRO) 4A (CALABARZON) charged for rape, fell into the hands of Caraga police following the successful law enforcement operation in Purok 5, Barangay Maatas, Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands, last Friday, July 8.
POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M CARAMAT JR, PRO13 Director identified the arrested person as Adel R Montefalcon, 43 years old, a resident of Purok 5, Barangay Maatas, Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands.
RD CARAMAT JR stated that the joint operating troops of Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) 13 and Dinagat Islands Police Provincial Office together with the personnel of RIU-4A launched the operation by virtue of the Warrant of Arrest issued by Regional Trial Court, 4th Judicial Region, Branch 22, Imus, Cavite for the crime of rape under Article 266-A (1) in relation to Article 266-B of Revised Penal Code with Criminal Case Number 25532-22 dated May 17, 2022, with no bail bond recommended.
Montefalcon is accused of raping a 13-year-old on February 5, 2022, in Imus, Cavite.
“The success is attributed to the joint efforts of the Regional Intelligence Unit, PNP Caraga, and PNP CALABARZON. By constantly working with other police units in the country, we will succeed in our efforts to bring to jail all wanted criminals,” RD CARAMAT JR said.
The arrested person is in the temporary custody of Cagdianao MPS.
