Surigao Del Norte Police Provincial Office (SDNPPO) conducted a province-wide Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) which yielded the arrest of a Communist Terrorist Group member and a squad leader who voluntarily surrendered to authorities, yesterday.
Personnel of Alegria MPS (lead unit) together with the Provincial Intelligence Unit SDNPPO and 1SAB PNP Special Action Force conducted a joint operation against the wanted person that resulted in the arrest of JERRY SUBASOS ANIÑON “aka” Jeboy, 32 years old, and a resident of Barangay Budlingin, Alegria, SDN. This was through the Intel packet provided by RIU-13-PNP IG.
Aniñon was apprehended by virtue of Warrant of Arrest charged for Multiple Attempted Murder with Criminal Case Number 14940 RTC, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 30, Surigao City, with a commended bail bond of One Hundred Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php 120,000.00).
He was listed as the Top 7 CTG priority target (Provincial Level), non-PSR, under Coplan “BUSABOS” and under SYP16C1, GFC16, NEMRC.
On the other hand, an informant called the authorities that Jay-R N. Villacarlos, 30 years old, and a resident of Purok 3, Brgy. Urbiztondo, Claver, SDN is willing to surrender.
Villacarlos was identified as @ MAX, SL of Squad 1Sandatahang Yunit Pangpropaganda (SYP 16C1) GF16, NEMRC (1stQtr2021 OPSR Listed) under the leadership of Ruel Neniel @JACOB voluntary surrendered to SDN PIU team (led unit) together with RIU 13- SDN PIT and Claver Municipal Police Station. The subject CTG was brought to SDN PPO for proper documentation.
He entered the CTG organization on September 9, 2016, and later became a Squad Leader of SYP16C1, GF16 operating in LASICAM Complex, Gigaquit, SDN. Eventually he got tired of his life in the mountains which prompted him to surrender and be with his family.
Subject is now under the custody of this office for further evaluation of DSWD for ECLIP enrolment program.
(E-CLIP is a government program that aims to help the rebel members of CPP-NPA-NDF and Militia ng Bayan to restore their allegiance to the Philippine government).
