Strong winds Wednesday night knocked down trees in various barangays, damaging several houses including a motorcycle in the area.
No one was hurt as a result of the incident, according to reports from members of the Barangay Information Officers Network (BION).
In barangay Bolong, a number of houses were partially damaged after they were hit by falling trees when strong winds battered sitios Paminguitan and Entrada, according to BION Reynold Cabayacruz.
In Dulian Upper Pasonanca, a tree fell onto a house made of light materials. Several other trees were uprooted in the area, said BION Anthony Revillas.
Lapakan BION Arnel Barcelona reported that a motorcycle was destroyed because a tree fell directly on top of it.
Strong winds likewise caused destruction on some houses and other properties in barangay Tolosa in the east coast, according to BION Erlinda Eugenio.
The concerned barangay councils led the clearing operations Thursday morning.
