The Provincial Government of Surigao del Norte strongly condemns the abduction and killing of Police Staff Sergeant Restie Dandan, PNP MBR assigned in the Municipality of Sison Municipal Police Station, and offers its deepest condolence to the bereaved and grieving family.
Staff Sergeant Restie Dandan was abducted by still unidentified armed group while he was on his way to work in Barangay San Isidro, Sison, in the morning of July 30, 2020. His body was found in the morning of August 18, 2020 in the mountainous area of Sitio Napo, Barangay Matin-ao, in the Municipality of Mainit.
The Provincial Government of Surigao del Norte appeals to the public for prayers for the eternal repose of the soul of Staff Sgt. Dandan, as well as for emotional strength of his immediate family.
