Stabbing incident transpired at Zone-5 Village, Lumiyap, Brgy. Divisoria, Zamboanga City at about 7:30 PM of August 30, 2020. PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 5 immediately proceeded to the place of incident. The victim was identified as Fedrerico Ancheta Ensong, 51 years old, male, single, construction worker and a resident of Zone-5 Village, Lumiyap, Brgy. Divisoria, Zamboanga City while suspect identified as Gilbert Carpio Herrera, 40 years old, male, married, construction worker and a resident of Brgy. Putik, Zamboanga City.
Investigation conducted revealed that according to the witness identified as “edsel”, while the group of the suspect were having a drinking spree on the house of the said witness the victim who was also under the influence of liquor passed by. The suspect and the victim who were both under the influence of liquor had a heated argument which led the suspect to stab the victim.
Moreover, said victim sustained stab wound on the left portion of his body below his chest and was immediately brought to Zamboanga City Medical Center for medical treatment, while suspect fled the scene after the incident.
PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 5 are now conducting hot pursuit operation for the arrest of the fleeing suspect.
