Stabbing incident transpired at Purok Tula-Tula, Brgy. Tarakan, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur at about 1:00 AM of December 26, 2020, wherein the victim identified as John Mark Hida Roxas, 20 years old, male, married, fisherman, and a resident of Purok Tula-Tula, Brgy. Tarakan, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur was stabbed by suspect identified as Rogen Bernante Roxas, 20 years old, male, single, self-employed, and a resident of Brgy. Legarda 3, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur.
Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, both victim and suspect were having a drinking spree inside the house of certain Gorgonia Acain Roxas located at Purok Tula-Tula, Brgy. Tarakan, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur. While on the course of their drinking session, a heated argument ensued between the duo, thereby the suspect suddenly stabbed the victim once hitting his left portion of his abdomen and was rushed to Chavez Medical Clinic, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur and subsequently transferred to Mendero Medical Center for further medical treatment, while suspect immediately fled the scene after the incident.
PNP personnel of Dinas Municipal Police Station conducted thorough investigation and hot pursuit operation to possibly locate and arrest the fleeing suspect.
