Bacolod City – A resolution commending and expressing warm congratulations to Ellen Joy Arigorat for being awarded as 2024 Changemaker in Health at the Healthcare Information Management System Society (HIMSS) Conference 2024 in Orlando, Florida, USA, was approved by the Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod recently.
The resolution authored by Councilor Em Ang said Ellen Joy Arigorat was born in Bacolod City in 1984 and studied elementary in USLS until her family moved to New Jersey, USA in 1992.
Arigorat was awarded as 2024 Changemaker in Health at the Healthcare Information Management System Society (HIMSS) Conference 2024 in Orlando, Florida, USA. The award recognizes individuals who lead in the global healthcare ecosystem, particularly those who demonstrate a commitment to harnessing the power of information and technology to positively transform health and healthcare, driving transformational change leading to improved health outcomes and gaining the recognition and respect of their peers, it said.
She is presently the program director for Nursing Informatics at the New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York, USA, the resolution said.
She serves as an inspiration for all hardworking Bacolodnons in the US healthcare system, and is a source of pride for Bacolodnons, it said.
The Sangguniang Panlungsod joins the whole city in commending Ellen Joy Arigorat who has made Bacolodnon proud for being a changemaker in health at the Healthcare Information Management System Society (HIMSS) Conference 2024 in Orlando, Florida, USA, the resolution added.
