Shooting incident transpired at Purok 1, Brgy. Poblacion, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:30 PM of November 25, 2020 wherein victim was identified as Nila Natividad Flores, 58 years old, single, a resident of Brgy. Poblacion, Mahayag.
Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was shot by her brother identified as Geronimo Natividad Flores II, male, 46 years old, married, LGU casual employee and a resident of the same place with the use of undetermined caliber of firearm.Â

The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the different parts of her body and was immediately brought to Mahayag Community Hospital, Brgy. San Vicente, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur for treatment but declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. The suspect fled away to unknown direction. The responding team recovered one inside holster at the crime scene probably left by the suspect.

Further investigation conducted by Mahayag MPS to the eyewitness that prior to the incident, the victim and the suspect were having an intense argument regarding on their television set and then suddenly the suspect took a short firearm revolver and shot the victim in close range.
