Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City – Three most wanted and four other wanted persons were arrested by Caraga cops in separate operations in the province of Surigao del Norte yesterday (September 17) as Police Regional Office 13 intensified its campaign dubbed as Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO).
PRO13 Regional Director Police Brigadier General ROMEO M CARAMAT JR revealed that most of those arrested were criminally charged for rape, Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Physical Injury, attempted murder, robbery, estafa, Violation of Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act (Anti-Child Abuse Law) and adultery that are pending in various municipal courts and Regional Trial Courts.
In Del Carmen, a certain Patrick Coro Elardo, 18, single, student and the second most wanted person in the province of Dinagat Islands, was arrested in his residence in Purok 3, Barangay Cabugao at 9:30 a.m.
Elardo was charged for violation of Rape (Revised Penal Code Article 266-A) docketed under Criminal Case No. 21-117 and was issued on September 15, 2021 by the Regional Trial Court (RTC), 10 Judicial Region, Branch 34, Dapa, Surigao del Norte. The court recommended no bail for his temporary liberty.
According to police record, Elardo is among the four accused in raping an 18-years-old in Purok 4, Brgy. Cabugao on Valentines Day in 2021 around 7:00 p.m.
In the municipality of Gigaquit, Jerome Asilum Doble, 28, with live-in partner, driver and a resident of Purok 6 Baragay Alambique was nabbed by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Robbery (RPC Art. 293), Robbery in an Uninhabited Place docketed as Criminal Case number 15643 issued by RTC 10th Judicial Region, Branch 29 dated August 28, 2021.
The recommended bail is fixed at ₱ 18,000.00 for his temporary liberty.
The accused is listed as Top 9 Most Wanted Person in Provincial Level.
Accordingly, Doble robbed St. Agustin Institute High school located in Purok 3, Barangay Ipil on October 4, 2017.
While in Brgy Camboayon, Arnel Antepuesto Butron, 21, was arrested at around 8:00 a.m.
Butron is the subject of a warrant of arrest for Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Physical Injury (Revised Penal Code Article 365) issued by the RTC, 10th Judicial Region Branch 29 of Surigao City under criminal case number 15428, with recommended bail of ₱ 30,000.00.
Butron run over a 4-years-old in Purok 1, Barangay Camboayon, Gigaquit early evening of April 23, 2021. He is listed second most wanted person in Gigaquit town.
Likewise, in Purok 4, Barangay Ipil in Gigaquit, Reymhar Martinez Colegado, 39, married, SB Member of LGU- Gigaquit and a resident of Purok 6 Barangay Alambique was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for ESTAFA.
The RTC 10th Judicial Region, Branch 29 issued the warrant under Criminal Case Number 15670 on September 6, 2021 with recommended bail of ₱ 120,000.00. Arrested person was listed as Top 2 Most Wanted Person in Municipal Level.
The RTC 8th Judicial Region, Branch 26 at Bulwagan ng Katarungan in San Juan, Southern Leyte issued the arrest warrant for attempted murder under criminal case number 2678 dated June 03, 2019 to Regine Tubo Remandaban, 33, with live-in partner, farmer and a resident of Purok 5, Barangay Magbagacay, Saint Bernard, Southern Leyte.
Remandaban was arrested after a year in hiding in Purok 2, Barangay Upper Patag, in Sison around 10:05a.m.
The court recommended a bail amounting to ₱ 120,000.00.
Record shows that he stabbed a certain Jerry Erotche Remandaban around 5:06 PM on April 21, 2019 in Barangay Magbagacay.
Also arrested is an 18-years-old Jerlo Tamayo Balbarino for Violation of Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act (Anti-Child Abuse Law) issued by the 10th Judicial Region, Branch 34 in Dapa under criminal case number 21-84 dated August 9, 2021 with recommended bail of ₱ 200,000.00.
Balbarino, who resided in Purok 5, Barangay Rizal in Socorro town was accused of raping his 15-years-old girlfriend in her home while her parents were not around and threaten to kill her via text messages on August 25, 2020.
Meanwhile, the 10th Judicial Region, Municipal Circuit Trial Court 3rd MCTC PLACER-BACUAG, PLACER issued the warrant for the crime of Adultery docket under CC No. 19-679 dated June 10, 2019 with a recommended bail bond of ₱ 36,000.00 to Girlie Basilio Millari, 34, and a resident of Purok 3 Barangay Amoslog.
Millari was apprehended by authorities around 10:15 a.m. in Purok 6.
“The strings of successful arrests of most wanted persons is the result of an active campaign against criminality with the cooperation and active support of the community.
