Coast Guard Station (CGS) Surigao del Norte headed by the Station Commander ELAINE R. PANGILINAN, PCG conducted Vessel Safety Enforcement Inspection (VSEI) to vessels plying the AOR of Surigao del Norte today, 21 May 2021.
Vessel Safety Enforcement Inspection (VSEI) Team started the inspection to vessels chartered by Taganito Mining Corporation (TMC) at Brgy. Taganito, Claver, Surigao del Norte.
Upon completion of VSEI at TMC, Inspectors intends to inspect other vessels within Municipality of Claver on the following days.
On the other hand, all PCG Stations and Sub-Stations within the CARAGA Region were already directed by COMMODORE LUISITO S SIBAYAN PCG the Commander of Coast Guard District North Eastern Mindanao (CGDNEM) to strictly and religiously conduct VSEI at their respective AORs in order to ensure compliance of Shipping Companies to the maritime safety rules and regulations as well as to ascertain the seaworthiness of vessels plying within the maritime jurisdiction for the safety of life and property at sea.
