Police personnel of Dapitan City Police Station arrested a 21 year old man after he was accused of raping a 19-year old woman inside the Hampton Pension House, Road 17, Brgy. Dawo, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte at 2:00 AM of December 12, 2020. Dapitan City Police identified the suspect as June Acaylar, 21 years old, single, and a resident of Brgy. Cawa-cawa, Dapitan City.
He was positively identified by the 19 years old victim, single and a resident of Purok Piapi, Brgy. San Pedro, Dapitan City.
Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the suspect and the victim were having a drinking session with their common friends inside the above-mentioned place and when the victim felt tipsy, she lied on the foam which was placed on the floor and slept. At around 2:00 AM, she was awakened by the pain and felt that somebody was already on top of her and sexually molested her who she identified as June Acaylar.
After the incident, suspect left the place, leaving the victim inside the room. Suspect is now under custody of Dapitan City Police Station for proper disposition.
