The public viewing of the remains of the late Ruben B. Ecleo, Jr. was cancelled due to the alarming increase of COVID-19 cases, especially in San Jose. Mayor Yngwie Hero Bacolod Ecleo, son of the late Master Bobong made the decision because his priority is the people’s health and safety.
The Provincial Information Office (PIO) of the Provincial Government of Dinagat Islands in coordination with the San Jose Municipal Government will broadcast the wake at 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on May 23, 24, and 25 via FACEBOOK LIVE (facebook.com/DinagatIslandsPIO).

For those invited to the wake, please wear face masks and face shields to ensure protection against COVID-19 transmission.
Those who won’t be able to attend the wake can always visit Ruben B. Ecleo, Jr’s tomb once the situation concerning the pandemic becomes better or when the majority of our population gets vaccinated.
The late Ruben B. Ecleo Jr’s remains will be shown at close view during the PIO live streaming, but not during the entire time to give respect to him and his family’s privacy, as well as to people who wish to remember him in a different state prior to his passing.
