It’s business as usual for public utility jeepney operators and drivers in Zamboanga City, as they opted not to join the nationwide transport strike starting today, March 6 to 12.

In its Facebook post, the LTFRB-9 said the situation in Zamboanga City and other parts of Region 9 remains normal in terms of traffic situation and PUV supply.

The agency also reported no untoward incidents, no disruptions in public transport operations and no stranded passengers in this part of the country. “Tuloy ang byahe! Tuloy ang hanap buhay! Marami pong salamat.”

The city government led by Mayor John Dalipe expresses gratitude to transport groups in the city for putting the interest of the public first, as they rejected the strike staged in Metro Manila and other parts of the country and expressed support to the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program of the government.
