This ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Vice Governor Glenda Ong Bongao, Provincial Tourism Officer Dorothy Colle of PTCAO and TJ Lagman to represent Governor Edcel “Grex Lagman.
Colle said on her speech that ARTbeat aims to include artists from different backgrounds and communities regardless of their age and gender as they are part of Albay’s rich history of art, and emphasized that it has been a while since the last art exhibit was held in Albay because of the pandemic so it’s about time to conduct an art exhibit again.
Colle also extended her gratitude to the PGA for supporting the event and the artists who joined.
Ms. Deejai Tanji of KUGOS expressed her delight in the opening of the art exhibit and introduced the artists who joined the activity.
The month-long activity features works of artists from different municipalities of Albay who submitted their artwork to showcase their talents and to be able to sell their art as well.
The art exhibit will run from February 1-29 and PTCAO is inviting everyone to visit and patronize the work of our local artists especially in the province of Albay.
