Shooting Incident

Shooting incident occurred at Purok 4, Barangay Baluno, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur at 5:00 PM of January 31, 2021. The victim was identified as Elmo Manga Neri Jr. “aka Tata”, 40 years old, male, married, farmer and resident of above-mentioned place. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was on his farm located at aforesaid place to pastured his livestock until 7:00 PM of same date, said victim was not yet at home that worried his family, then and there her wife identified as Jovelyn Neri immediately reported to the barangay officials to help locate his missing husband until they saw the lifeless body of the victim in supine position at the corn field with multiple gunshot wounds at his chest which caused to his untimely death. Accordingly, at about 5:00 pm of same date a certain Aida Cabilin Catalogo and Nilo Jandugan Harap Jr., heard a multiple gunshot fired but they ignored because they presumed it was handmade air gun which was usually played by their neighbors but Nilo saw unidentified two male person riding in XRM 125 fi, color red, without plate number speedily going to Barangay Libertad, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur Area. PNP personnel from Dimataling Municipal Police Station conducted hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the fleeing suspects. Motive of the incident are still under investigation as well as the identity of the suspect/s.

 

Accidental Discharge Of Firearm

An accidental discharge of firearm transpired at Purok Alibang-Bang, Barangay Sto. Niño, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:15 PM of January 31, 2021. This resulted to the death of the victim identified as SSgt Neil Solante Gonzalez, active member of Philippine Army, assigned at 1st DTS, 1ID, PA, Upper Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur. Initial investigation disclosed that at about 4:30 pm of same date, while the victim was having a drinking session with his co-members of the zeta phi omega fraternity particularly at the residence of Richard Ramos (also a member of the said fraternity), situated at Purok Alibang-Bang, Barangay Sto. Niño, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur, the victim felt uncomfortable with his firearm tucked on his waist, he decided to draw his firearm and checked on its safety mechanism before he puts it in his bag but he accidentally squeezed the trigger on the process hitting his left temporal lobe and the bullet exited at his parietal lobe that causes his instantaneous death as declared by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Charity Navarro Vega. The victim was brought by his immediate family to Gamalinda Funeral Home for proper disposition.

 

Jobless Arrested In Anti-Illegal Drugs Operation

Police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 10 led PMAJ Sonny Boy P Perez conducted drug buy-bust operation at Purok 2, Sibigtul Drive, Barangay Arena Blanco, Zamboanga City at about 10:45 PM of January 31, 2021. This resulted to the arrest of Abdujarrin Abubakar Habi, 22 years old, male, single, jobless, high school graduate and a resident of Sibigtul Drive, Barangay Arena Blanco, Zamboanga City. Recovered during the operation were five (5) sachets of suspected shabu with estimated ddb market value of Php17,000.00; weighing more or less 2.5 grams and Php200.00 as marked money. The arrested suspect is now under the temporary custody of said police station for proper disposition.

 

RA 7610 Violator Arrested in Law Enforcement Operation

PNP personnel of Margosatubig Municipal Police Station conducted law enforcement operation against wanted person at Barangay Lumbog, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur at 1:00 PM of January 31, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Ron Daniel Tormis Cosep, 19 years old, single, a resident of Sitio Samboang, Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur. He was arrested by virtue of Arrest Warrant for Crime of Acts of Lasciviousness in relation to RA 7610 docketed under Criminal Case # 2021-002 dated January 15, 2021 issued by Hon. Ruben N Bance, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur with recommended bail bond of Php80,000.00. The arrested accused is now under the temporary custody of Margosatubig MPS for proper disposition.

 

Farmer Held in Sominot for Crime of Attempted Murder

Police personnel of Sominot Municipal Police Station led by Police Lieutenant Juanito D Aballe Jr., conducted law enforcement operation against wanted person at Purok 1, Barangay Tungawan, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:00 PM of January 31, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Junnel Yulina Langoyan, 34 years old, single, farmer and a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Tungawan, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur. This is by virtue of Arrest Warrant for Crime of Attempted Murder docketed under Criminal Case # 19-10, 1649 dated December 17, 2019 issued by Hon. Analyn F Ramas-Costanilla, 9th Judicial Region, Regional Trial Court, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur with bail bond of Php120, 000.00. The arrested accused is now under the temporary custody of Sominot MPS for proper disposition.

 

5 Held in Zamboanga City for Illegal Gambling

Police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 led by PMAJ Chester N Natividad conducted law enforcement operation against illegal gambling (cock fighting) at Urban Poor, Brgy. San Jose Gusu, Zamboanga City at about 4:00 PM of January 31, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Julbastre Saidi Maulana, 55 years old, male, married, a resident of san Jose Gusu, Zamboanga City, Reynaldo Pondoc Escorial, 59 years old, male, married, a resident of San Jose Gusu, Zamboanga City, Felix Pico Balvarte Jr., 36 years old, male, single, a resident of San Jose Gusu, Zamboanga City, John Alfie Agustin Desipolo, 39 years old, male, single, a resident of San Jose Gusu, Zamboanga City and Rodrigo Saracho Villogas, 32 years old, male, single, a resident of San Jose Gusu, Zamboanga City. Confiscated during the operation were two (2) fighting cocks with gaffs and bet money amounting to Php600.00. The arrested suspects were now under the temporary custody of said police station for proper disposition.
