Hacking Incident
A hacking incident transpired at Barangay Tabayo, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte at 5:50 PM of September 15, 2021. Victim was identified as Ernesto Tii Bason 40 years old Habal- Habal Driver, and a resident of Barangay Tabayo, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte while the suspect was identified as Arnold Tii Bason, 36 years old, carpenter and a resident of Barangay Tabayo, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte. Initial investigation disclosed that at about 11:30 AM of September 15, 2021, the victim and the suspect together with John Rick Lubais aka “Mais” and Lito Tumial aka “Boglong” were having a drinking session when the suspect and the victim had a heated argument, a few minutes later, the suspect left and came back with a bolo then hacked the victim hitting on his left stomach. The suspect was able to escape after the incident. PNP personnel of Siocon Municipal Police Station immediately proceeded to the place of incident for the apprehension of the suspect. Victim was brought to Siocon District Hospital for immediate medical treatment.
₱150,000.00 Worth of Smuggled Cigarettes Seized in Kumalarang
PNP personnel of 2nd Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company together with Kumalarang Municipal Police Station, 44th Infantry Battalion, 53rd Infantry Battalion, and Kumalarang Fire Station conducted checkpoint operation at QCP, Barangay Boyugan West, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur at about 11:00 PM of September 15, 2021 and successfully intercepted one (1) closed wing van, gray metallic in color, driven Michael Penaso Fabria, male, 36 years old, married, driver, and a resident of Barangay Amoros, El Salvador, Misamis Oriental, and owned by Charlin C. Doble. During the conduct of routine inspection, personnel manning the checkpoint saw in plain view boxes of smuggled cigarettes inside the carrier van with no cigarette tax stamps issued by BIR and no graphic health warning. Confiscated from the suspects were four (4) boxes of Original Oakley, four boxes (4) of New Berlin smuggled Cigarettes and two (2) boxes of San Marino with an estimated worth of ₱ 150,000.00 with no pertinent papers. Arrested person and confiscated items are now under the custody of Kumalarang Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.
Driver Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Pagadian City
Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Pagadian City Police Station conducted anti-illegal drugs operation at Purok Patag, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur at 12:29 AM of September 16, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Bryan Jay Remorosa Salvador, 30 years, male, driver, and a resident of Purok Bahada, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur. Confiscated during the operation were one (1) piece small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected of methamphetamine hydrochloride “Shabu”, as buy-bust evidence; three (3) pieces small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected of methamphetamine hydrochloride “Shabu”, possession (recovered/seized), estimated weight of buy-bust evidence and all recovered evidence from the possession of the suspects is 0.29 grams and with standard drug price of one thousand nine hundred seventy two pesos (₱ 1,972.00); One (1) unit white cellular phone (Samsung Keypad); and one (1) piece five hundred peso bill (₱ 500.00) as marked money. Arrested suspect is temporarily held in protective custody at Pagadian City Police Station while the case for Violation of R.A. 9165 also known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” is being prepared against the suspect.
