Firearms Seized from a Criminal Gang Member in Muti
Joint Operatives of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 9, Zamboanga City Police Office – Intel Branch, Zamboanga City Mobile Force Company 1, 74th Infantry Battalion, and Zamboanga City Police Station 2 conducted joint law enforcement operation through service of search warrant at Sitio Niyog-Niyog, Brgy. Muti, Zamboanga City at 1:40 AM of March 29, 2021. The operation led to the arrest of Merham Tulawi Nasalon, 22 year old, married, male, and resident of Sitio Niyog-Niyog, Brgy. Muti, Zamboanga City for Violation of R.A 10591 under Search Warrant No. 17_2021 dated March 26, 2021 issued by Hon. Judge Peter V. Eisma, RTC 9, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 15, Zamboanga City. Seized during the operation are: one (1) Unit of Cal. 45 Pistol STI EDGE bearing SN. 913658; one (1) Cal. 45 Magazine Assembly; seven (7) rounds of Cal. 45 Live Ammunition; one (1) Unit short Magazine Assembly for M16; seventeen (17) rounds of 5.56 Live ammunition of M16 Rifle; and one (1) Blue Bag and assorted Identification Card. He is a member of Ajijul Criminal Gang under ASG Sub Leader Marzan Ajijul. He was brought to Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Regional Field Unit 9 for documentation & proper disposition.
Ex-Philippine Air Force and a Warehouse Worker, Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Pasonanca
Police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Luyahan, Brgy. Pasonanca, Zamboanga City at 5:20 PM of March 28, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Alexander Barredo y Toribio a.k.a “Badong”, 37 years old, male, married, ex-member of Phil. Air Force, College Graduate, and a resident of Toriven Drive, Brgy. Pasonanca, Zamboanga City and Reynaldo Tulawe y Lucunan a.k.a “Tapz”, 32 years old, male, married, warehouse worker, and resident of San Jose Gusu, Zamboanga City. Confiscated during the operation were Six (6) sachets of suspected Shabu with estimated value of ₱ 2,040.00 weighing more or less 0.3 grams, ten (10) sachets containing dried leaves of suspected Marijuana with estimated value of ₱ 3,094.00 weighing more or less 22.1 grams and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 marked money. Confiscated items were brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination while the suspects are presently under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 for filing of appropriate charges in court.
Man Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Cabatangan
Police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Brgy. Cabatangan, Zamboanga City at 9:35 PM of March 28, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Alvin Taji y Sabturani, 39 years old, married, college level, unemployed, and a resident of Brgy. Mampang, Zamboanga City. Confiscated during the operation were eight (8) sachets of suspected Shabu with estimated value of ₱ 6,800.00 weighing 1 gram and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 marked money. Confiscated items were brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination while the suspects are presently under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 for filing of appropriate charges in court.
2 Drug Suspects Arrested in a Buy-Bust Operation in Kasanyangan
Police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 1 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Phase III, Vallevista, Brgy. Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City at 10:30 PM of March 28, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Den Den Jainatun Alam aka “Dante”, 34 years old, male, married, vendor, high school graduate, a resident of Buggok, Brgy. Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City and Khalid Amerin Arabain aka “Khalid” 25 years old, male, single, unemployed, college level, and a resident of Blue Homes Executive, Brgy Pasonanca, Zamboanga City. Confiscated during the operation were four (4) sachets of suspected. Shabu with estimated value of ₱ 1,000.00 weighing more or less 0.14 grams and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 marked money. Confiscated items were brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination while the suspects are presently under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 1 for filing of appropriate charges in court.
Vehicular Accident
A vehicular accident occurred at the intersection of Campaner Street and Nuñez Street, Zamboanga City at 11:45 PM of March 28, 2021 involving an Isuzu Elf Dropside with plate number JAB-2536 driven by Prince Jose Perez y Trono, 22 years old, male, single and a resident of Los Primos, Tugbungan, Zamboanga city, a Professional Driver’s license holder with license number JO5-18-001699. Investigation disclosed that the Isuzu Elf was travelling from west to east occupying right lane along Campaner Street. Upon reaching the intersection of Nuñez Street, and without any precautionary measure in crossing the said intersection, the Isuzu Elf Dropside accidentally hit the Honda Hatchback with plate number KCS-869 driven by PSSg. Jerson Dela Cruz y Salabo, 40 years old, male, married, a bonafide member of the PNP assigned at ZCMFC and a resident of Lunzuran, Zamboanga City, a Professional Driver’s license holder with license number JO4-16-002688 together with Marichu Dela Cruz y Pungtan, 42 years old, female, married with same address as passenger which at that time was travelling from south to north along Nuñez Street. As a result, PSSg Jerson S. Dela Cruz and Marichu P. Dela Cruz sustained injuries and was brought to Zamboanga City Medical Center for immediate treatment while vehicles involved incurred damages.
Stabbing Incident
A stabbing incident transpired at Purok 5, Poblacion B ,Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur at 8:51 AM of March 28, 2021. Victim was identified as Macoy Suminog Mandao, 30 years old, and a resident of Purok Bahada Brgy. Poblacion A, Midsalilp Zamboanga del Sur and the suspects were identified as Fidel Andamay, legal age, laborer and a resident of Brgy. Licuroan , Midsalip Zamboanga Del Sur and Jamil Mandao 30 years old, and a resident Purok Bahada, Poblacion A, Midsalip Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim was seen lying lifeless on the grassy area of the said place. Initial investigation disclosed that on the evening of March 27, 2021, the suspects and the victim were having a drinking session at the house of Mary Jane Panduma Tanggana, live-in partner of Jamil Mandao, located at the said place. According to Mary Jane, the suspects, while in the middle of their drinking spree had a heated argument with the victim. Later on, the suspect drew his hunting knife and stabbed the victim several times and fell down the ground and carried away towards the grassy place where the dead body was found, after the incident, the suspect fled towards Brgy. Licuroan Midsalip Zamboanga del Sur. PNP Personnel of Midsalip Municipal Police Station are now conducting hot pursuit operation for the arrest of the suspects and for filling of appropriate charges.
Road Crash incident
A traffic accident transpired at Sitio Alipapa, Brgy. Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur at about 9:40 PM of March 28, 2021. The vehicles involved were one (1) unit White Nissan Navarra pick-up bearing plate number FOX 558, with no OR/CR presented during the incident driven by Resty Mariga y Maghilum, 21 years old, single, male, unemployed and a resident of Purok 1B, Brgy. Mati, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur with 3 passengers namely: Meryl Villamil y Pagapular, 28 years old, female, single, sales agent and a resident of Nomiarcc compound, Dalwangan, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, and Nikko Abong-Abong y Perida, 22 years old, single, male, student and a resident of Purok Manga Wani, Brgy. Bulawan, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur and Leorimae Villamor y Panugan, 21 years old, single, female, jobless and a resident of Purok 1B, Brgy. Mati, Zamboanga del Sur and one (1) unit Green Bajaj re Compact 4s F Trike, no plate number, owned and driven by Gilbert Jugo y Ariola, 32 years old, married, male, driver with five (5) passengers namely: Rose Mae Jugo y Paras, Jelian Jay Jugo y Paras, Josephen Jugo y Ariola, Leo Jugo y Cerilla, and Elisa Basan y Jugoall are residents of Purok Rubia, Brgy. Poblacion, Margosatubig Zamboanga Del Sur. Initial investigation disclosed that both vehicles were travelling on the same direction, Upon reaching the place of incident, the Nissan Truck driver lost control of his vehicle causing it to hit the back portion of the Bajaj. Due to impact, both vehicles incurred damages. Further investigation disclosed that the driver of the Nissan Truck was believed to be under the influence of liquor. The driver of Nissan Navarra pick-up is now under the custody of Margosatubig Municipal Police Station for disposition.
