Police personnel of Aurora Municipal Police Station (MPS) together with 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok San Francisco, Barangay Balide, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur. The operation resulted in the arrest of Armand Odtuhan Colonia, 20 years old, single, and a resident of the said place. He was arrested by virtue of Arrest Warrant for the Crime of Rape, docketed under Criminal Case No. 20-10, 1769 dated August 18, 2020 issued by Hon. Analyn Ramas Costanilla, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur with recommended bail bond fixed at ₱ 40,000.00. He is now temporarily detained at Aurora MPS custodial facility while waiting for commitment order from the court.

Joint elements of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 (ZCPS6) and 2nd Zamboanga City Mobile Force Company conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Asinan, Barangay Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City at about 9:00 PM of March 16, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Talib Aluddin y Sabdani, 65 years old, male, separated. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Rape with Criminal Case No. 41696 issued and signed by Presiding Judge Hon. Peter V. Eisma, Branch 15, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Zamboanga City dated June 28, 2019 with no bail bond recommended. Further, said accused is presently under ZCPS6 custody prior turn over to court concerned.
Stabbing Incident
A stabbing incident transpired at Zone V, Barangay Mercedes, Zamboanga City at about 8:00 PM of March 16, 2021. Victim was identified as Evalyn Bernas Sebastian, 43 years old female, married while suspect was identified as Ricardo Araneta Buscas, 59 years old, male, married both are residents of Barangay Mercedes, Zamboanga City. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim and the suspect had a heated argument that prompted the suspect who was armed with a bolo to hack the victim on her right arm. Said victim sustained hacked wounds on her right arm and was brought to Mindanao Sanitarium Hospital, Barangay Pasobolong, Zamboanga City for treatment while suspect was arrested via hot-pursuit operation conducted by Zamboanga City Police Station 4. Further, said suspect is presently under the custody of the said station for proper disposition.
Fire Incident
A fire incident transpired at Purok 5, Barangay Josefina, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur at 9:05 PM of March 16, 2021. Investigation disclosed that the fire started from the residential house made of light materials owned by Rudy Damas Carpina, 43 years old, married, and a farmer. Further investigation disclosed that the fire specifically started at kitchen of said house and escalated into the entire house. The estimated cost of damaged is more less ₱ 30,000.00 with no casualty.
Suicide Incident
A suicide incident transpired at Purok Santol, Barangay Calula, RT Lim, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 6:00 AM of March 16, 2021. Christine Jane Caminade Eras, 17 years old, female, single, a resident of the said place was found hanging lifeless at her bedroom with a nylon rope tied on her neck. initial investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, Juliet Caminade Eras, sister of the victim, 11 years old, grade 6 pupil of Calula Elementary School entered the bedroom of the victim and found her lifeless. Investigation further disclosed that the victim chatted with her boyfriend saying “i hate myself” and opened-up that she has a family problem. She was declared dead by RT Lim medical representative. The dead body was turned-over to her family.
Homicide Suspect Arrested in Sangali
Police operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 3 and Zamboanga City Police Station 4 conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Barangay Culianan, Zamboanga City at 11:00 AM of March 16, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Muhnin Saha Ahari, legal age, resident of Barangay Sangali, Zamboanga City. He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Homicide docketed under Criminal Case No. 46968 issued by Hon. Judge Gregorio Valencia Dela Peña, Presiding Judge RTC Branch 12 with a recommended bail bond of One Hundred Twenty Thousand Pesos (₱ 120, 000.00). He is presently under the custody of said station prior turn over to the concerned court.

Darih Jackaria y Barahim, 62 years old, male, single, laborer, elementary graduate, and Rommel Duhani y Adguran, 38 years old, widow, elementary graduate, fisherman were arrested by police operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 3 in a drug buy-bust operation at Sitio Cambodia, Brgy Sangali, Zamboanga City at 12:10 PM of March 16, 2021. Recovered from their possessions were eight (8) sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 6,800.00 weighing 1 gram and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 registered as marked money. They are now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 3 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. Recovered from his possession were thirty nine (39) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 347, 000.00 weighing 51.02 grams, one (1) shotgun with three (3) live ammuntions and one (1) piece of ₱ 1,000.00 bill as marked money. He is now under the custody of ZCPS11 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. Recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Jasper Wee y Dela Cruz, 39 years old, male, single, parking boy, elementary graduate, Kodek Sahibul y Usman, 44 years old, male, married, fish vendor, high school undergraduate, and Bedding Dammang y Abubakar, 26 years old, male, married, canning worker, high school graduate were arrested by police operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 in an anti-illegal drugs operation at Gov. Ramos, Barangay Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City at about 1:00 AM of March 17, 2021. Recovered from their possessions were five (5) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 10, 200.00 weighing more or less 1.5 grams, one (1) piece coin purse and three (3) pieces of ₱ 100.00 bill as marked money. They are now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. Polanco Municipal Police Station conducted buy-bust operation at Purok Gabi, San Miguel, Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte at 8:20 PM of March 16, 2021. The operation resulted in arrest of Jay Ar Acopio Corro, 28 years old, male, married, unemployed and a resident of Barangay San Miguel, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte. Recovered from his possession and control during the operation were the following items: five (5) pieces of suspected Shabu; one (1) piece five hundred peso bill bearing Serial Number CS253106 serve as buy bust money; one (1) piece one thousand peso bill; two (2) pieces one hundred peso bills. Estimated weight of recovered substance was 7 grams with a value of ₱ 47,600.00. He is now under Police Custody of Polanco Municipal Police Station and the confiscated items will be brought to Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Foreman Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Ipil
Police personnel of Ipil Municipal Police Station together with Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 9 conducted buy-bust operation at Purok Sampaguita, Barangay Don Andres, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at 9:10 PM of March 16, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Carlito Mag-Abo Balandra Jr., 49 years old, foreman, male, college graduate, married and a resident of the said place. Confiscated during the operation were: three (3) pieces small sachets of suspected Shabu, estimated weight of 0.168 grams and value of ₱ 1,142.00 and one (1) piece ₱ 500.00 bill as marked money with serial number MS239473. Markings and inventory was done in the presence of Hon. Al Raymond D. Laybon, Barangay Kagawad of the said place and Mr. Rudel P. Limbago as media representative. He is now under the custody of the said police station for filing of case, while the confiscated illegal drugs were turned over to the Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Crime Laboratory for examination.
