Top 1 Most Wanted Person of Midsalip, Arrested

Police personnel of Lanao Del Norte Provincial Intelligence Unit together with Midsalip Municipal Police Station conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok 4, Barangay Santa Cruz, Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte at 3:50 PM of March 2, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Jemar Maasin Agabon, 27 years old, self-employed, and a resident of the said area. He was arrested by virtue of Arrest Warrant for the Crime of Statutory Rape (5 counts), docketed under Criminal Case Numbers 20-10,1820, 20-10,1821, 20-10,1822, 20-10,1823 and 20-10,1824 dated December 11, 2020 issued by Hon Analyn F Ramas-Costanilla, Presiding Judge of 9th Judicial Region, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur with no bail bond; and for the Crime of  Acts of Lasciviousness in Relation to R.A 7610 with Criminal Case Number 20-10,1819 dated December 11, 2020 issued by issued by Hon. Analyn F Ramas-Costanilla, Presiding Judge of 9th Judicial Region, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur with recommended bail bond fixed at ₱ 108,000.00. He is now temporarily detained at Kapatagan Lanao del Norte for documentation and to be turned over to the said police station for proper disposition.

Fire Incident

A fire incident transpired at Alejo Alvarez St., Barangay Zone I, Zamboanga City at 8:21 AM of March 2, 2021 involving one (1) two storey residential house made of light materials. Fire allegedly started from the second floor of said establishment which was owned by Felisinda J. Bellesa, 70 years old, female, single who is currently residing at the United States of America. The house has already been abandoned. The estimated cost of damage is more or less ₱ 100,000.00 and no casualty was reported during the incident. Responding BFP personnel were able to put out fire at 8:40 AM of same date.

₱400,000.00 Worth of Smuggled Cigarettes Seized in Patalon

Police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 10 were conducting roving patrol and received information that a group of persons were unloading alleged smuggled cigarettes at the Shoreline of Balicacas, Barangay Patalon, Zamboanga City at 10:55 AM of March 2, 2021, which prompted the police personnel to proceed to the reported place. Thereat, the group of person scampered to different directions upon sensing the presence of responding team. Confiscated items were ten (10) boxes of brand “Original”, nine (9) boxes of “Famous” and one (1) box “Royal”. The estimated market value of confiscated items has a total amount of ₱ 400,000.00. The said police station  coordinated with the Phil. Coast Guard, Labuan regarding the said incident. Further, the confiscated items will be turned over to the Bureau of Customs, Zamboanga City for proper disposition.

Alleged Suicide Incident

An alleged suicide incident transpired at Zone 7, Barangay Victoria, Zamboanga City, at about 3:00 PM of March 2, 2021 wherein  Melvin Cabonilas y Daguman, 41 years old, male, single, resident of the said place was found hanging on a Mulawin tree with the use of shoelace and sling of a bag tied around his neck. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, victim was last seen leaving their house at about 8:00 AM of March 1, 2021. Ruben Columbres, father of the live-in partner of the victim found him hanging on a tree and immediately sought for assistance from Barangay officials. An SMS was recovered from the cellular phone of the subject sent to his live-in partner Mineth Columbres as quote “hmine magpakamatay ako ang kadahilanan hindi dahil may makasalanan ako, kung di dahil nakakahiya ang paratang nila sa akin sana pinaliwanag  ko muna yong sa kanila kaso ramdam ko wala na ngang  puwang  paliwanag kasi ako’y na husgahan na kaagad sana may pagkakataon pa  kasi napanaginipan ko na to  na ito’y  mangyayari  talaga na ito’y nakatakda sa aking buhay.” The said police station is still conducting thorough investigation regarding the said incident. Arson Suspect Arrested in Josefina

Police personnel of Josefina Municipal Police Station (MPS) conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok 1, Barangay Nopulan, Josefina, Zamboanga del Sur at 9:30 AM of March 2, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Argie Pelayo Jalandoni, 29 years old, single, lending collector, and a resident of the said place. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Arson under Section 3, Para 4 of P.D. 1613, docketed under Criminal Case Number 2020-10-4162 dated December 11, 2020 issued by Hon. Analyn F. Ramas Costanilla, Acting Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur with recommended bail bond fixed at ₱48,000.00. He is now temporarily detained at Josefina MPS custodial facility while waiting for commitment order from the court;

₱364,800.00 Worth of Shabu Seized in Zamboanga City

A total of ₱ 364,800.00 worth of Shabu was seized from 6 drug suspects in Zamboanga City in separate drug buy-bust operations conducted by police stations under Zamboanga City Police Office on March 3, 2021.

Elvin Vinegas Y Inso, 46 years old, male, married, unemployed was arrested by police operatives of Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 9 in an anti-illegal drugs operation at Sto. Nino drive, Candido Street, Barangay Tetuan, Zamboanga City at 5:55 PM of March 02, 2021. Confiscated during the operation were one piece heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be Shabu, one piece heat sealed transparent plastic containing white crystalline substance believed to be Shabu, one white box carton, one  improvised weighing scale straw, one improvised presser bamboo stick, one improvised picker straw, one LCC disposable green lighter, several pieces of assorted sizes transparent plastic sachets opened and one plastic container with green cover with a total weight of 1 grams with estimated street value of ₱ 6,800.00, and one piece genuine ₱ 1,000.00 as marked money with serial no.HW727092. A case for Violation of R.A. 9165 is being readied for filling in court against the suspect.

Kimhar Sakandal y Abdua, 48 years old, male, married, elementary undergraduate, unemployed; Abdulhan Pulalon y Hasim, 52 years old, male, married, elementary undergraduate, unemployed, and Saidimar Lumandong y Suhud, 35 years old, male, married, elementary undergraduate, habal-habal driver were arrested by police operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 in a drug buy-bust operation at Phase 4, Asinan, Barangay Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City at about 8:00 PM of March 2, 2021. Recovered from their possessions were ten (10) sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 15,000.00 weighing 2.20 grams and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 registered marked money. Confiscated items were brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination while suspects are presently under the custody of the said police station for proper disposition.

Sherhana Asakil Y Abuban, 18 years old, female, single, unemployed, elementary undergraduate was arrested by police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 3 in a drug buy-bust operation at Purok 3, Barangay Mampang, Zamboanga City at about 4:00 PM of March 2, 2021. Recovered from her possession were one (1) camouflage sling bag, ten (10) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 3,000.00 weighing 0.44 grams and one (1) bill of ₱ 200.00 as marked money. She is now under the custody of the said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

Ronald Taglocop y Vicente, 39 years old, male, single, high school graduate, and a fishing boat welder was arrested by police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 9 in an anti-illegal drugs operation at Port Area, Barangay Zone-IV, Zamboanga City at about 3:00 PM of March 2, 2021. Recovered from his possession were one (1) large heat sealed plastic sachet of suspected Shabu which was wrapped in a disposable surgical face mask together with one (1) wrapper of Maggi Kari with an estimated value of ₱340,000.00 weighing 50 grams, one (1) bundle of 99 bills of ₱ 1,000.00 as boodle money topped with one (1) bill of genuine ₱ 1,000.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 9  in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
