PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok Fatima, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City at 1:45 PM of June 23, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Florencio Cañete Damas, 58 years old, male, married, construction worker and a resident of Purok Banaba, Barangay Lenienza, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Rape (3 counts) under art. 266-A (Par. 1) of RPC with criminal case nos. 13336-2K17, 13337-2K17 and 13338-2K17 issued on August 18, 2017 by Hon. Benjamin R Lanzaderas, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 22, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur with no bail bond recommended. PNP personnel of Piṅan Municipal Police Station, in coordination with Dasmariñas City Police Station conducted intel-driven law enforcement operation in Barangay Salitran 2, Dasmariñas City, Cavite at about 2:00 PM of June 23, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of John Michael Floren Pañosa, 21 years old, male, single, presently residing at Aguinaldo Highway Barangay Salitan 2, Dasmariñas City, Cavite. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of “Rape” docketed under criminal case no. 23323 issued by Hon. Jose Rene G. Dondoyano, Presiding Judge, Branch 7, Regional Trial Court, Dipolog City on April 23, 2020 with no bail recommended. He is temporarily detained at Dasmariñas City Custodial Facility pending approval for transfer to Municipality of Piṅan, Zamboanga del Norte.
₱612,000.00 Worth of Shabu Seized in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Tugbungan
PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 conducted anti-illegal drugs operation at Barangay Tugbungan , Zamboanga City at about 1:00 AM of June 24, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Zwingly Mohammad y Lopez a.k.a. “Zwingly”, 51 years old, female, married, jobless, high school graduate; Abdullaziz Takaki y Husin, 38 years old, male, married, jobless, elementary level, both are residents of Tropical, Barangay Tugbungan, Zamboanga City; Sirhan Sarahadil y Salasain, 33 years old, male, separated, jobless, college graduate, and Janneila Jubaira y Mariwa, 38 years old, female, single, jobless, college level, both are residents of Barangay Talon-Talon, Zamboanga City. Recovered during the operation were twelve (12) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 612, 000.00 weighing 90 grams, two (2) coin purse and seven (7) pieces of ₱ 100.00 bill as marked money. They are now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered sachets of suspected Shabu will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Drug Suspect Arrested in Tetuan
Police operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Natividad street, Barangay Tetuan, Zamboanga City at 11:15 AM of June 23, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Ron Mark Navarro y Mendez, 27 years old, single of Don Enriquez Drive, Barangay Tetuan, Zamboanga City. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for violation of R.A. 9165 art . II Section 13 and R.A. 9165 art. II Section 14 under criminal case nos. 34017 and 34018 issued on June 14, 2021 by Hon. Gregorio V. Dela Pena III of RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 12 with no bail stated in the warrant. He is presently under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 prior turn over to the concerned court.
Man Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Sangali
Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 3 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Purok 1, Barangay Sangali, Zamboanga City at 3:30 PM of June 23, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Jaynan Mendoza Y Magno a.k.a. “jaynan” 38 years old, married, jobless, high school level, and a resident of Purok 6, Barangay Victoria, Zamboanga City. Confiscated during the operation were four (4) sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated DDB value of ₱ 1,000.00 weighing 0.14 grams and Two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 registered marked money. Subject person is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 3 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered drug items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Shooting incident
A shooting incident transpired at Manggabolong, Barangay Bolong, Zamboanga City at 7:40 PM of June 23, 2021. Victims were identified as Jayson Sebastian y Manalo, 36 years old, male, single and his live-in partner Elena Paelmariano, legal age, female, married and both are residents of Manggabolong, Barangay Bolong, Zamboanga City while suspect was identified as Elmer Salazar y Macario (husband of Elena), legal age, male, married and a resident of Barangay Tagasilay, Zamboanga City. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, both victims were in their residence when suddenly “Jayson” heard their dog barking, as he peep at their window, he saw the suspect standing outside holding an unidentified firearm. Just as when the suspect spotted Jayson and Elena he suddenly shot them several times hitting their lower extremities (right leg). Moreover, said victims were immediately brought to Mindanao Central Sanitarium Hospital, Barangay Pasobolong, Zamboanga City for treatment while suspect fled towards the direction of Barangay Tagasilay, Zamboanga City after the incident. Further, PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 3 is presently conducting hot pursuit operation for the arrest of the identified suspect.

PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 conducted anti-illegal drugs operation at Poste Dr., Barangay Pasonanca, Zamboanga City at about 1:00 AM of June 24, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Yvan Ross Baylon y Taray a.k.a. “Van”, 28 years old, male, single, jobless, college graduate, and a resident of Poste Dr., Barangay Pasonanca, Zamboanga City. Recovered during the operation were six (6) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 4,760.00 weighing 0.7 grams, one (1) coin purse and two (2) pieces of ₱ 100.00 bill as marked money. He is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered sachets of suspected shabu will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Drug Suspect Arrested in Dipolog City
PNP personnel of Dipolog City Police Station (CPS) together with Zamboanga del Norte Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit conducted joint law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Barangay San Pedro, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte at about 2:00 PM of June 23, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Menardo Vidad Sarita, married, male, 39 years old, high school level, motorcab driver, and a resident of Barangay San Pedro, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte at about 2:00 PM of June 23, 2021. He was arrested for violation of secs. 5 and 11 of art. II, R.A. 9165” with criminal case nos. 24420-24421 issued by Hon. Cherry Joy C. Concha-Ageas., Presiding Judge, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 10, Dipolog City, dated June 18, 2021. He is presently under the custody of Dipolog CPS.
