6 CTG Members Surrendered in Dumingag
Six members of Revolutionary Organization of Lumads under Communist Armed Movements (CAMOs) of Salabok Nok G’Taw Subanen an IP/Lumad Sector and currently PSR Listed under Region Urban Committee (RUC) WMRPC voluntarily surrendered to Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Intelligence Unit and Dumingag Municipal Police Station together with Regional Intelligence Division 9, 2nd Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company, 902nd Maneuver Company-RMFB9, 1st Infantry Division Philippine Army, and Municipal Task Force ELCAC of Zamboanga del Sur headed by Hon. Joan P. Abejuela at Barangay Sinonoc, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur at 3:30 PM of July 11, 2021. The surrenderees subsequently signed an Oath of Allegiance in the presence of Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Governor Victor J. Yu -Solemnizing Officer. Surrenderees were released by Dumingag Municipal Police Station in good physical condition and are now under the custody of Hon. Noli D. Abecia Barangay Kagawad of Barangay Sinonoc, Dumingag Zamboanga del Sur for further community reintegration.
Stabbing Incident
A stabbing incident transpired at Purok 1, Barangay Balukbahan, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur at around 10:00 PM of July 10, 2021. Victim was identified as Junie Lipan Dalansay aka “Koril”, 30 years old, married, farmer, and a resident of Purok 4, Barangay Balukbahan, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur. Investigation disclosed that at about 10:00 PM of July 10, 2021, the victim was seen together with two unidentified persons who were allegedly drunk passing the Barangay Hall of Balukbahan, Bayog and about 30 minutes later, the victim was found dead by Lorio Tumaras Entag, Secretary of the said barangay. Victim was found lying on the slope portion at the shoulder of the road along Purok 1 of the said Barangay. The victim sustained multiple stab wounds on the different parts of his body. PNP personnel of Bayog Municipal Police Station is still conducting investigation to identify and locate the perpetrators of the incident and for the filing of appropriate charges in court.
Shooting Incident
A shooting incident transpired at Purok 5, Barangay Colojo, Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur at 10:55 PM of July 11, 2021. Victim was identified as Lanie Teofilo Sabac, 42 years old, female, married, farmer and a resident of Purok 5, Colojo, Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur. Initial investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, while the victim was about to urinate inside her house which was made of wooden materials, particularly in the kitchen, suddenly, an unidentified person appeared and shot her several times using caliber .45 pistol based on five (5) empty cartridge cases recovered at the crime scene. The victim sustained gunshot wound on the head and her right shoulder that resulted to her untimely death. The suspect fled towards Sitio Lantawan, Barangay Liguac, Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur. PNP personnel of Pitogo Municipal Police Station is still conducting hot pursuit operation for the arrest of the perpetrator.
Man Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Mercedes
Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 4 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Barangay Mercedes, Zamboanga City at 9:50 PM of July 10, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Ritche Poro y Adelan a.k.a., “Richie”, 42 years old, married, college level, jobless, and a resident of Zone 9, Barangay, Zambowood Zamboanga City. Recovered from his possession were six (6) sachets of suspected Shabu with a standard drug price of ₱ 7,000.00 weighing 1.02 grams and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 4 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
