Shooting Incident

Shooting incident transpired at Purok 3, Brgy. Bagalupa, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur at 10:00 PM of February 27, 2021. PMAJ Jerome T. Pamalaran, Labangan Police Chief identified the victim as Noeme Degayo Perolino, 60 years old, female, married, housewife, resident of abovementioned place. Purok 3, Brgy. Bagalupa, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur. Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was inside of her house particularly at the kitchen when an unidentified male suspect appeared and suddenly shot the victim once by used of undetermined caliber of firearm. As a result, victim sustained one gunshot wound through and through on her left chest while the suspect fled away to unknown direction. She was later declared dead on arrival by Dr. Romeo Castillo, Labangan Rural Health Unit and subsequently turns over to her immediate family. Recovered from the crime scene was one (1) fired bullet from undetermined caliber of firearm. Meanwhile, Recovered evidence was brought to Labangan Municipal Police Station (MPS) for proper disposition. PNP personnel of Labangan MPS are now conducting follow up operation against the fleeing suspect/s.

Hacking Incident

Hacking incident transpired at Zone IV, Brgy. Pamucutan, Zamboanga City at 5:30 PM of February 27, 2021. The victim was identified as Edramon Ruiz Monfort, 23 years old, male; single and the suspect as Dennis Mallari Dela Cruz, legal age, male, and single both are residents of Zone V, Brgy. Pamucutan, Zamboanga City. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, said victim was at their residence when suddenly suspect under the influence of liquor appeared, armed with “bolo” and without any provocation hacked the victim. Thereafter, said victim sustained hacked wounds on his right arm and was brought to Labuan Hospital for immediate medical attention while suspect escaped towards the direction of upper Barangay Pamucutan after the commission of the crime. Further, personnel from Zamboanga City Police Station 9 are conducting hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the identified suspect.

Hacking Incident

Hacking incident transpired at Purok 1, Brgy. Tuburan, Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga Del Norte at 5:00 PM of February 27, 2021. The victim was identified as Rene Pacatang Vale, male, 32 years old, single, a resident of Sitio Gilian, Brgy. Mansawan, Don Victoriano, Misamis Occidental while suspect was identified as Marchon Cating, male, 29 years old, single, and a resident of Brgy. Tuburan, Sergio Osmeña. Initial investigation disclosed that when victim arrived at the above-mentioned place of incident onboard an Isuzu elf truck coming from Dipolog City and without any apparent reason, the suspect appeared and hacked the victim twice and fled towards west direction of Brgy. Tuburan, Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga Del Norte after the commission of the crime. The victim sustained two (2) hacked wounds on his head and was immediately brought to Sergio Osmeña Rural Health Unit for immediate medication and later forwarded to Zamboanga del Norte Medical Center Dipolog City for further medical treatment. PNP elements of Sergio Osmeña Municipal Police Station are now conducting hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the suspect.

Neutralization of Gun For Hire Personality and Top Priority Target on illegal drugs of Dinas MPS

Joint elements of Dinas Municipal Police Station (MPS), Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office –Intel Branch, 902nd Company of RMFB9, 1st Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company and Regional Intelligence Division 9 implemented Search Warrant No. 2020-002, for violation of R.A. 10591 at Purok. 1, Brgy. Nian, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur at 1:15 PM of February 27, 2020 against samsudin tantong manlay, 35 years old, male, married, and resident of aforementioned place. The said operation resulted to a gunfight wherein target subject had fired upon the entry of the operating teams which further resulted to a running gun battle and the untimely death of the target subject person. Recovered from the subject person were one (1) unit caliber .45 pistol (grand master) with inserted magazine with several ammunition, one (1) gray- colored sling bag; one (1) brown wallet; spent caliber .45 shell casing, one (1) fragmentation hand grenade. Subject person is listed in Directorate for Intelligence (DI) watch list as gun for hire personality in the province of Zamboanga del Sur and top priority target on illegal drugs (Municipal Level) Dinas MPS. Personnel from SOCO and EOD teams have already been requested. Cadaver of the victim was brought by the relatives for immediate burial as a matter of Muslim tradition.

Wanted Person Captured in Midsalip

Police personnel of Midsalip Municipal Police Station (MPS) led by PMAJ. Edgar R. Hinoctan together with personnel from Regional Intelligence Unit 9, Regional Intelligence Division 9, 1st Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Force Company, RMFB9 and Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office-Intel Branch conducted law enforcement operation against wanted person at Sitio Martesan, Brgy. Pili, Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur at 10:30 PM of February 27, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Roger Campus Patihan, 50 years old, married, male, farmer by occupation and a resident of Purok 3, Brgy. Pili, Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the Crime of “Attempted Homicide’” under the Criminal Case nos. M-3363 issued by Presiding Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, 10th MCTC, Ramon Magsaysay-Sominot-Midsalip, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur dated December 15, 2020 with recommended bail amounting to ₱ 36, 000.00. He is now temporarily detained at Midsalip MPS

4Ps Recipients Arrested in Drug Buy Bust

Police operatives of Zamboanga City Police Station 5-Divisoria led by PMAJ Julius B Dao-an conducted drug buy-bust operation at MCLL Highway, Brgy. Guiwan, Zamboanga City at 10:00 PM of February 27, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Joven Jay Manicap Rivera, 26 years old, male, single, jobless, college level, non 4ps recipient and a resident of Brgy. Tesda, Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City. Confiscated during the operation were fifteen (15) sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated ddb market value of ₱ 8,000.00 weighing more or less 1.17 grams and ₱ 200.00 bill as marked money. The arrested suspect is now under the temporary custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 5-divisoria for proper disposition.

2 Arrested, P15,000.00 Shabu and FA Seized in Anti-illegal Drugs Operation in Zamboanga City

Police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 5-Divisoria led by PMAJ Julius B Dao-an conducted drug buy-bust operation conducted anti-illegal drugs operation at Paseo de Putik, Barangay Putik, Zamboanga City at 11:20 PM of February 27, 2021. The operation resulted to the arrest of Jokim De Guzman Y Arcillas, 33 years old, male, married, construction worker, high school level, 4Ps recipient and Jimson Jairun Y Abdul, 39 years old, single, security guard, high school graduate, none 4Ps recipient both are residents of Barangay Putik, Zamboanga City. (both are Database Watch listed). Confiscated from their possession were Eighteen (18) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated DDB value of ₱ 15, 000.00 weighing more or less 2.2 grams, One (1) pc pouch, One (1) Firearm Norinco  Cal 45 Pistol with SN No. 1107745  loaded with five (5) ammunition and Two (2) pcs of ₱ 100.00 bill as marked money. Said subject persons are now under the custody of said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Lab Office.

Vehicular Road Accident

Vehicular accident transpired at National Road, Purok African Daisy, Brgy. Pangi, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at 3:00 AM of February 27, 2021 involving vehicle – Isuzu truck wing van, color blue/gold, bearing plate nr. RME 827, driven by Richie Apduhan Hipaga, 34 years old, of Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay and a motorcycle Honda wave100, color black/red, bearing plate number 2769 JJ, driven by Bryan Limbaga Baguioro, 25 years old, male, of Brgy. Monching, Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay with back-rider identified as Clifford Rizallosa De Pedro, 17 years old, male, of Brgy. Don Andres, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. Initial investigation conducted revealed that vehicles involved were travelling on opposite direction and upon reaching at the place of accident, driver of the motorcycle lost control the steering bar of his driven motorcycle and accidentally bumped on the approaching vehicle. The driver of the motorcycle and his back-rider were brought to provincial hospital for medical treatment but the driver was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. Driver of the truck and vehicles involved are now under the custody of Ipil Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

Road Crash Accident

Road crash accident transpired at MCLL Highway, Brgy. Tagasilay, Zamboanga City at 4:30 PM of February 27, 2021, involving one (1) Yamaha Aerox 155 (black/green) with temporary plate number 090109 driven by al Ashween Kusain Ali wearing full-face helmet a non-professional driver’s license holder and a resident of 102 Ituralde Drive, Brgy. Talon-Talon, Zamboanga City and one (1) pedestrian identified as Amelia Hipolito Esteban, 44 years old, female, married and a resident of sitio Campo, Brgy. Sibulao, Zamboanga City. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, said motorcycle was coming from city proper travelling east coast while said pedestrian disembark from a rural bus and immediately crossed the highway. Driver of the motorcycle was unaware that said pedestrian was crossing the highway and accidentally bumped her. Thereafter, the driver fell from his driven motorcycle while the pedestrian was unconscious and was immediately brought to Lying Clinic, Brgy. Mialim, Zamboanga City but declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. Further, said driver and vehicle were now under the temporary custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 1-Vitali for proper disposition.
