Top 4 Most Wanted Person of Zamboanga del Sur, Arrested

PNP personnel of PIU, ZSPPO in coordination with 1st ZSPMFC, 902nd RMFB9,  Margosatubig Municipal Police Station and Buug Municipal Police Station conducted joint law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok-5, Sitio Kamansi, Barangay Pamintayan, Zamboanga Sibugay at 7:15 AM of August 28, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Marhom Alian Engkang, 39 years old, male, married and a resident of Barangay East Migpulao, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur, gun-for-hire personality. He was arrested for the crime of two (2) counts of Murder, docketed under criminal case number 17-038 and 17-039 dated July 17, 2017, issued by Hon. Ruben N Bance, Presiding Judge, RTC, Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur with no bail bond recommended,  Murder, docketed under Criminal Case number 12820-2K16 dated July 25, 2017, Issued by Hon. Dennis P Vicoy, Presiding Judge, RTC, Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 20, Pagadian City with No bail bond recommended. He is now under the custody of PIU, ZSPPO for documentation and proper disposition.

Top 5 Most Wanted Person of Basilan, Arrested in Sta. Cruz Island

PNP personnel of 2nd ZCMFC “Seaborne”, Isabela City Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit-PIU, Basilan PPO and Philippine Coconut Authority conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at west coast of small Sta. Cruz Island, Zambaonga City at about 3:40 AM of August 28, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Narding Damahan y Tapopong, 56 years old, male, married, farmer, and resident of Barangay Lookbait, Sumisip, Basilan. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Robbery in Band under criminal case no. 4693-1694 issued by Hon. Danilo M. Bucoy of 9th RTC Branch 1, Isabela Basilan issued on February 22, 2008 with recommended bail bond of P40,000.00. During the said operation, operating units also intercepted one (1) motorized green pump boat “Jungkong” with body marked “Queen Ridzma” where the accused was on board. Upon inspection, it was loaded with 100 pcs. of 4x4x10, 6pcs. of 2x6x16, 1pc. of 2x6x10 and 3pcs. 2x3x10 undocumented illegally transported Coco lumbers owned by a certain Usman with crew members namely; Saad Miraji y Lakibul, 26 years old, male, married, fisherman; Hafidz Lankasan, 19 years old, male, single, fisherman; Isni Asjajul y Tihul, 31 years old, male, married, construction worker, and; Abdud-Nur Langcasan y Talib, 23 years old, male, married, construction worker, all are residents of Brgy. Basak, Sumisip, Basilan. That at about 12:00 noon of the same day, 2nd ZCMFC together with Philippine Coconut Authority conducted inspection and Inventory on the seized items. Furthermore, the said illegally transported Coco lumbers, one (1) Jungkong and the 4 crew members were turned over to the Philippine Coconut Authority while the accused is now under the custody of Isabela City Police Station.

Police Officer Allegedly Involved in Illegal Drugs, Arrested in Mercedes

Operatives of  CIDG ZCFU, CIDG Basilan PFU 9, PNP IMEG MFU, PDEG9 , CIU-ZCPO and RHPU 9 conducted law enforcement operation against wanted person at Block 1, Lot 2 Blue Homes Subd. Barangay Mercedes, Zamboanga City at  9:00 AM of August 28, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of PLTCOL Nonito Asdai y Pangilison, 55 years old, male, member of PNP and resident of Block 1, Lot 2 Blue Homes Subd., Barangay Mercedes, Zamboanga City. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002,  Sec. 92 (RA 9165) under criminal case no. 48799 issued by Hon. Shene Chiong Cañete, Branch 35,  RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Zamboanga City dated August 27, 2021 with recommended bail bond of Php 200,000.00. Accused was brought to CIDG RFU9 for documentation and proper disposition pending the return of the Writ to the issuing court.

Businesswoman Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Lunzuran

Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 5 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Purok 7, Urban Poor, Barangay Lunzuran, Zamboanga City at about 6:07 PM of August 28, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Rose Anni Andan a.k.a “Nora”, 46 years old, female, widow, elementary level, bussinesswoman and a resident of Brgy Lunzuran, Zamboanga City. Confiscated from her possession were fourteen (14) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with a standard drug price of Php 54,400.00 weighing, 8 grams, one (1) red coin purse, one (1) unit QNET keypad phone and Three (3) bills of Php 100.00 as marked money. She is now under the custody of the said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

Shooting Incident

A shooting incident transpired at Purok Orchids, Barangay Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur 5:30 AM of August 28, 2021. Victim was identified as Josephine Montano Butlig, 59 years old, female, married, Court Stenographer and a resident of Purok Orchids, Barangay Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur while suspect is unidentified. Initial investigation disclosed that at about 5:15 AM of August 28, 2021, the victim and her daughter, Angelica Butlig, were at their store when one (1) unidentified customer wearing black pants, gray hooded jacket, and with face mask arrived and wanted to buy cigarettes. However, the said suspect suddenly entered the store and shot the victim several times hitting the different parts of her body using a short firearm. After the incident, the suspect walked outside the store and fled to unknown direction. Victim was brought to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for medical treatment. Recovered at the crime scene were two (2) empty shells of caliber .45 pistol. Motive of the incident is still to be determined. PNP personnel of Margosatubig Municipal Police Station are now conducting follow-up operation to identify and arrest the fleeing suspect.
