Hand Grenade Found in Guiwan
A Hand Grenade was found at Gonzales drive, Sampaguita Road, Barangay Guiwan, Zamboanga City at 6:20 AM of April 21, 2021 near the residence of PLt. Dexter Villanueva, legal age, male, married, PNP member presently assigned in ROMD, PRO 9 and a resident of Gonzales drive, Sampaguita Road, Guiwan, Zamboanga City. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, PLt. Dexter Villanueva went outside his house; he noticed a pile of plastic beside his car. He immediately verifies the said pile and saw a hand grenade. As he was about to open the gate of his residence, he saw a black string attached on the gate and saw another hand grenade. Suspect was unidentified. Further, EODT processed the crime scene that ended at about 9:00 AM of same date. Both grenades were identified as MK2 fragmentation grenade and one of the grenades was detonated at the scene while the other one was able to safely secure. Zamboanga City Police Station 5 is still conducting follow-up investigation for the identity of the suspect and motive of the incident.
Top 4 Most Wanted Person of Gutalac, Arrested
PNP personnel of Gutalac Municipal Police Station (MPS) together with Intel Operative of 901st Maneuver Company conducted manhunt operation at Barangay Cocob, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte at 4:30 PM of April 21, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Ian Landang Limod, aka “love2x”, 19 years old, single, male, high school graduate, farmer and a resident of Barangay Bagong Silang, Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte for the crime of Rape docketed under Criminal Case No. L-004024 issued by Acting Presiding Judge Anthony D. Isaw of RTC, 9th Judicial Region Branch 28, Liloy Zamboanga del Norte dated September 17, 2020, without bail bond recommended. He is now in the custody of Gutalac MPS for proper disposition.
Top 8 Most Wanted Person of Siayan, Arrested in Cebu City
PNP personnel of Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Intelligence Unit, together with Siayan Municipal Police Station and Consolacion Municipal Police station (Cebu City), conducted joint Intel driven operation at Barangay Lamac, Consolacion, Cebu City at 6:45 PM of April 21, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Ronald C. Cruz, 50 years old, single, habal-habal driver and a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Siayan, Zamboanga del Norte. He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Rape in relation to RA 7610 (13 counts) docketed under Criminal Case Nos. S-5322 to S-5334 issued by Presiding Judge Reymar L. Lacaya of RTC9, Branch 11, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte dated May 4, 2016, without bail bond recommended. He is now under the custody of Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Intelligence Unit enroute to Zamboanga del Norte Police Provincial Office.
Shooting Incident
A shooting incident transpired at Barangay Kawayan, Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 10:30 PM of April 21, 2021. Victim was identified as Nestor R Bonbon, 52 years old, businessman and a resident of Barangay Concepcion, Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay while the suspect was unidentified. Â Initial investigation revealed that prior to the incident, a vehicular accident transpired at the said place, wherein the victim on board his Mitsubishi Elf-Canter with plate number 7CB 359 accidentally hit Lemuel Vinci Espaldon who was immediately rushed to Lanchita Hospital. according to Nestor Bonbon, after hitting Lemuel, he stopped but upon seeing the group of people approaching towards him, he immediately drove back his driven vehicle and fled towards Barangay Poblacion, Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay. The group of people on board a single motorcycle immediately chased him and shot him with the use of unknown caliber hitting on the right side of his body. Victim was rushed to Alicia District Hospital for medical attention. Elements of Alicia Municipal Police Station are now conducting follow-up investigation for the identification and apprehension of the suspects.
Man Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Tumaga
PNP personnel of Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 9 conducted drug buy- bust operation at Hector Suarez Highway, Barangay Tumaga, Zamboanga City at about 05:20 PM of April 21, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Venger Acaylar Y Arapoc Jr., 27 years old, male, single, jobless, college level, and a resident of Yvanoff, Tumaga, Zamboanga City. Confiscated during the operation were two (2) pcs. heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected Shabu, one (1) empty pack San Marino Cigarette used as container, with totaled weight of 5 grams and with estimated street value of ₱ 34,000.00, and one (1) piece genuine ₱ 1,000.00 one thousand pesos marked money bill. A case for Violation of RA 9165 was being readied for filling in court against the suspect.
Habal-habal Driver Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Kasanyangan
Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 5 conducted drug buy-bust operation at Asinan, Barangay Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City at 12:30 PM of April 21, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Akmad Haji y Abdul, 62 years old, male, married, elementary graduate, habal habal driver and a resident of Asinan, Barangay Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City. Recovered during the operation were Seven (7) sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 6,800.00 weighing 1 gram and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of the said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Men Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Baliwasan Seaside
Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 1 conducted buy-bust operation on illegal drugs at Taha Wharf Baliwasan Seaside, Zamboanga City at 6:50 PM of April 21, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Perez Alli Asimuddin, 38 years old, male, married, vendor, Elementary Level, and Muktar Pudin Alimuddin, 31 years old, male, married, labor, no educational attainment, both are residents of Town Site, Maluso, Basilan Province. Recovered during the operation were one (1) pack of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 340,000.00 weighing 50 gram and one (1) bill of ₱ 1,000.00 as marked money. They are now under the custody of the said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Man Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Sta. Maria
PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 2 conducted anti-illegal drugs operation at Gov Ramos, Barangay Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City at 9:35 PM of April 21, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Reynel Bollino y Recto, 42 years old, male, married, waiter, college level, and a resident of Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City. Recovered during the operation were five (5) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 10, 200.00 weighing 1.5 grams, one (1) pc. empty transparent plastic and two (2) pieces of ₱ 100.00 bill as marked money. He is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 2 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
