Barangay Councilor of Calumangi, Arrested in a Buy-Bust Operation in Dumingag
PNP elements of Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 9-Zamboanga Del Sur, Dumingag Municipal Police Station and 53rd Infantry Battalion Philippine Army conducted drug buy-bust operation at Purok 2, Barangay Bag-ong Valencia, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:15 PM of April 9, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Guiller Asister Buscato Jr., 29 years old, male, married, Barangay Councilor of Barangay Calumangi, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur and presently residing at Purok 1, Barangay Bag-ong Valencia, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur. Confiscated and seized during the operation were one (1) piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected Shabu, four (4) pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected Shabu, one (1) piece paper used to wrap the sachets of suspected Shabu, one (1) piece black Oppo cellular phone and one (1) piece one thousand peso bill (₱ 1,000.00) bearing serial number AL961993 as buy-bust money. Seized drug items weighing more or less 1 gram with estimated value of six thousand eight hundred pesos (₱ 6,800.00). The suspect is temporarily detained at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Zamboanga Del Sur lock-up cell located at Capitol Complex, Santo Niño District, Pagadian City for disposition while the seized drug items will be brought to Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Police Office Crime Laboratory for quantitative and qualitative analysis. A case for the crime in violation of Section 5 and 11 of R.A. 9165 as amended by R.A. 10640 is now being prepared.
Top 2 Drug Personality of Zamboanga City Police Station 7, Arrested
Intel operatives of 1st Zamboanga City Mobile Force Company together with Zamboanga City Police Station 7 and Zamboanga City Police Station 9 conducted joint law enforcement operation against wanted person at Zone 8, Barangay Cawit, Zamboanga City at 10:55 AM of April 9, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Jimboy Calo Casil, male, 29 years old, single, helper, resident of Riverdale, Barangay Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest docketed under Criminal Case No. 41310 for Violation of Sec. 5, art. II of R.A. 9165 issued by Shene C. Cañete, Regional Trial Judge of RTC, 9th Judicial Region Branch 35 Zamboanga City dated January 18, 2021 with no bail stated in the warrant. He is presently under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 7 prior turn over to court concerned.
One Dead in a Vehicular Accident in Diplahan
A vehicular accident transpired at Purok 4B, Ginigaran, Barangay Balangao, Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay at 8:10 PM of April 9, 2021 involving a blue Rusi 125 with no plate number, driven by Ever O Pogaja, 35 years old, married, a resident of Purok 7, Barangay Balangao, Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay and black SYM 125, with plate number SS 4609, driven by Joel Dulce, 46 years old, married, a resident of Purok 2 Barangay Villacastor, Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay. Initial investigation revealed that both single motorcycles were travelling on opposite direction and upon reaching the said place of incident, the driver of SYM 125 lost control over his motorcycle and accidentally bumped the incoming Rusi 125. Both drivers sustained injuries and were rushed to Wilter Palma Memorial Hospital, Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay for medication but Ever Pogaja was later declared dead by the attending physician. Vehicles involved are now under the custody of Diplahan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Mechanic Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Lumbangan
Station Drug Enforcement Team of Zamboanga City Police Station 5 conducted buy-bust operation at Barangay Lumbangan, Zamboanga City at about 12:10 PM of April 9, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Ibrahim Ramos y Saratan, 32 years old, male, single, high school graduate, mechanic, and a resident of Barangay Lumbangan, Zamboanga City. Recovered from his possession were fifteen (15) sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 10, 000.00 weighing 1.47 grams and three (3) bills of 100.00 pesos marked money. He is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 5 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Musafar Alih y Alpad, 42 years old, male, married, unemployed and a resident of Barangay Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City. Recovered from his possession were six (6) sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 6, 800.00 weighing 1 gram and two (2) bills of 100.00 pesos marked money. He is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Adil Omar y Saipuddin, 28 years old, jobless, male, Elem level, a resident of Islamic Barangay Sangali, Zamboanga City. Recovered from his possession were four (4) sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 846.00 weighing 0.1244 grams and two bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. Man Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Kabasalan
Elements of Naga Municipal Police Station conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok 1, Barangay Gacbusan, Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay at 10:40 AM of April 9, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Nestor Perigo Hernane, 41 years old, married, jobless and a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Sulo, Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay. The arrest was made by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Rape by sexual assault in relation to section 5(b) of R.A. 7610, docketed under Criminal Case No. i-8232-33, dated February 17, 2021, issued by Hon. Joel G. Vercide, Presiding Judge, RTC of Zamboanga Sibugay, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 37, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay with recommended bail bond of two hundred thousand pesos (₱ 200,000.00). He is now under the custody of Naga Municipal Police Station for temporary detention.
