CTG Member Surrendered in San Miguel
A joint intelligence driven operation was conducted by 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company together with San Miguel Municipal Police Station in facilitating the voluntary surrender of a CTG member at Purok 2, Barangay Dumalian, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur at about 1:00 PM of April 2, 2021. He was under the leadership of defunct GF KARA Sammy Paradillo a.k.a “Andoy”, 49 years old, male, married, farmer, and a resident of Purok Dos, Barangay Dumalian, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur. He was on a lie low status since year 2015. He is now in the Custody of 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company Headquarters for further Custodial Debriefing.
Shooting Incident
A shooting incident transpired at Purok Rubia, Barangay Macasing, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur at 10:15 PM of April 2, 2021. The victim was identified as Ronulo Dumanjug Malongo, 32 years old, male, single, unemployed and a resident of Purok Gabi, Barangay Macasing, Pagadian City. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, victim was walking at Purok Rubia, Barangay Macasing, Pagadian City going to his home at Purok Gabi of same barangay when he was shot by unidentified suspect/s. The victim sustained lone gunshot wound on his lower abdomen and exited on the back portion of his body and brought to the Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. Evidence recovered from the crime scene was one fired cartridge case of caliber .45 pistol. PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station still conducting thorough investigation and follow up operation to possibly identify, locate and arrest the fleeing suspect.
Homicide Suspect Arrested in Tabina
PNP personnel of Tabina Municipal Police Station (MPS) conducted law enforcement operation against wanted person at Purok Tulingan, Barangay Baganian, Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur at about 11:00 AM of April 2, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Julio Piquit Soquano, 54 years old, male, married, carpenter, and a resident of Purok Tulingan, Baganian Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur. He was arrest by virtue of Arrest Warrant for the crime of Homicide, docketed under Criminal Case No. 2021-030 dated March 19, 2021 issued by Hon. Judge Ruben N. Bance, presiding judge of Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur with recommended bail bond fixed at ₱ 120,000.00. He is now temporarily detained at Tabina MPS custodial facility while waiting for commitment order from the court.
Shooting Incident
A shooting incident transpired at Purok Greenfield, Barangay Mabini, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay at 5:30 PM of April 2, 2021. Victim was identified as Melvin Mendola Magbanua, 32 years old, single, and a resident of Purok Young Gremers, Barangay Taway, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay and the suspect was identified as Bambam Santos, of legal age, married, and a resident Purok Greenfield, Barangay Mabini, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay. Initial investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was driving his motorcycle and upon reaching the place of incident, the suspect blocked the driveway and pulled out a pistol inside his sling bag and shot the victim. Fortunately, the victim managed to evade the shot by tapping the arm of the suspect, thus, the suspect missed his shot and hit the ground instead. the victim was unharmed, while the suspect is still at large. Motive of the incident is believed to be personal grudge.
Rape Suspect Arrested in Isabela
PNP personnel of Isabela City Police Station conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest of Purok Moonlight, Barangay Sumagdang, Isabela City, Basilan at about 10:00 AM of April 2, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Isidro De Jesus Perez, 76 years old, male, married and a resident of Purok Moonlight Barangay Sumagdang, Isabela City. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest with Criminal Case No. 7013-2427 for violation of R.A. 8353 (RAPE) issued by Hon. Grace Capacillo Tillah, LL.M, Acting Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court Branch 2, 9th Judicial Region, Isabela City, issued on 1st day of March 2021 in Isabela City, Basilan with no bail bond recommended.
