One CTG Member Surrendered in San Miguel
Joint Intelligence Driven Operation conducted by 2nd Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company together with San Miguel Municipal Police Station facilitated the voluntary surrender of a former member of GF KARA under Jeremias “Dacs” Balolong – CO (Deceased) and was on a lie low status since year 2016 however he was still utilized as courier of basic goods, commodities and other war materials to the active members of GF KARA and MRGU, WMRPC that made him on CTG Non-PSR listed. However, because of his genuine desire to return into the fold of law and support the Government Program to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) he voluntarily surrendered to 2nd Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company. He is now under the Custody of 2nd Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company for further Custodial Debriefing.
Shooting Incident
A shooting incident transpired at Barangay Sta. Catalina, Zamboanga City wherein victim was identified as Jonan Muktar, 28 years old, male, married, a resident of Asinan, Barangay Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City. He was shot by unidentified suspect/s. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, victim was walking along the road of Barangay Sta. Catalina heading to city proper when an unidentified motorcycle riding suspect/s suddenly shot him for several times then fled towards Martha Drive, Barangay Sta. Catalina, Zamboanga City. Recovered from the crime scene were Five (5) empty shells believed to be Cal .45. Victim sustained Three (3) gunshot wounds on different parts of his body and One (1) laceration wound on his forehead that was rushed to Zamboanga City Medical Center for treatment. Zamboanga City Police Station 11 is still conducting deeper investigation regarding the said incident for the motive, identity and arrest of suspect/s.
Hacking incident
A hacking incident transpired at Purok Makugihon, Barangay Supit, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay at 11:35 AM of April 1, 2021. Victim was identified as Rogelio P. Dela Cerna, 54 years old, married, resident of the Purok Makugihon, Barangay Supit, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay and the suspect was identified as Manuel T. Onggon, 78 years old, married, also a resident of the same place. Investigation disclosed that at about 9:00 AM of April 1, 2021, the victim and his wife were having an argument, thereafter his father-in-law arrived and attempt to pacify them but the victim threw the bolo towards the suspect, hitting his right leg which prompted the suspect to get the bolo and subsequently hack the victim hitting his left hand. immediately the victim was brought to Dr. Sibud Hospital for immediate medical attention while the suspect immediately fled the scene heading towards the mountainous part of Barangay Bacalan, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. Recovered from the scene is the bolo used in the commission of the crime.
Stabbing Incident
A stabbing incident transpired at Purok Hillside, Barangay Ditay, Diplahan Zamboanga Sibugay at about 4:30 AM of April 1, 2021. Victim was identified as Julito Abcede Donting, male, 52 years old, single, farmer and suspect was identified as Benjamin Tikal Fabros, male, 32 years old, married, farmer, both are residents of the said place. investigation disclosed that the suspect and victim were having a drinking spree when a heated argument ensued. This prompted the suspect to stab the victim using a kitchen knife. He sustained stabbed wound at his right chest that resulted to his untimely death. suspect voluntary surrendered to the civilian volunteer officer and further turned-over to the responding elements of Diplahan Municipal Police Station.
Shooting Incident
A shooting incident transpired in front of Christy Mae Store, Purok Nazareno, Nazareth, Barangay Buenavista, Pagadian City at 2:15 PM of April 1, 2021 wherein victim identified as Christopher Delacerna Liman, 39 years old, male, married, construction worker and a resident of Tiguma, Pagadian City. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was having a drinking spree in front of Christy Mae Store together with his friend identified as Renando Canoy Quinimon when suddenly one (1) male person appeared and shot the victim once with the use of a caliber .45 pistol. As a result, victim sustained a gunshot wound on his head that resulted to his instantaneous death. After the incident, the suspect fled towards Barangay Napolan, Pagadian City on board on a single motorcycle as his getaway vehicle. Recovered from the crime scene was one (1) piece of fired cartridge case of caliber .45 pistol. City Health officer of Pagadian City Dr. Debbylene S Tan was called for the conduct of post mortem examination. Motive of the incident is believed to be personal grudge.
Shooting Incident
A shooting incident transpired at P-2, Poblacion, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur at 7:30 PM of April 1, 2021. The victim was identified as Junril Caliso Peñoso, 21 years old, jobless, a resident of Purok 7, Barangay. Poblacion. Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was standing inside the sari-sari store together with his friends and relatives, suddenly one (1) unidentified suspect wearing a gray jacket with a face mask and a bull cap arrived and bought a candy. He suddenly shot the victim several times with the use of a Caliber .45. Victim sustained multiple gunshots wounds on the different part of his body and was brought to LTMPC Hospital for medical attention but he was declared dead on arrival by Dr Ralph Renon Casamayor, attending Physician while the suspect immediately fled towards Molave on board an undetermined type of single motorcycle with his two (2) cohorts. Recovered from the crime scene were three (3) fired cartridge casing of Caliber .45. Mahayag Municipal Police Station is now conducting follow up investigation for apprehension of the fleeing suspects and extracted the CCTV footage on the area. Motive of the incident is yet to be determined.
Stabbing Incident
A stabbing incident transpired at Purok Mauswagon, Pasil 2 Barangay Santo Niño, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur at 1:10 AM of April 2, 2021. Victim was identified as Jhonrex Fabricante male, 30 years old, with live-in partner, fisherman and a resident of Purok Mauswagon, Pasil 2 Barangay Santo Niño, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur and the suspect was identified as Marvin Paquis Catubig, he voluntarily surrendered to Tukuran Municipal Police Station. Investigation disclosed that the suspect forcibly entered the house of the victim while he was laying on the bed and stabbed him. As a result, victim sustained stab wounds in the chest and stomach. PNP personnel of Tukuran Municipal Police Station proceeded to the place of incident but the victim was already brought by his family to AISAH Hospital for medical attention.
Rape Suspect Arrested in Naga
Police personnel of 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company together with personnel from Naga Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Sangali Municipal Police Station conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Barangay. San Isidro, Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay at 11:10 AM of April 1, 2021. The operation led to the arrest of Ryan Saranillo, 24 years old, single and a resident of Barangay. Vitali, Zamboanga City. The arrest was made by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Peter V. Eisma of Branch 15, Regional Trial Court, Zamboanga City dated June 5, 2020, for the crime of Rape defined and penalized under art. 266-a, par. 1(a) of the RPC, docketed under Criminal Case No. 44826 with no bail recommended. He was turned-over to Naga MPS for proper disposition.
Homicide Suspect Arrested in RT Lim
Police personnel of Regional Intelligence Division 9 conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok Mahilom, Barangay Katipunan, R.T. Lim, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 9:00 AM of April 1, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Dionosio Bituin Batolanon, 50 years old, married, construction worker and resident of Purok Mahilom, Barangay Katipunan, R.T. Lim, Zamboanga Sibugay. The arrest was made by virtue of the warrant of arrest for Frustrated Homicide (RPC art. 249), docketed under Criminal Case number: i8318 issued by Hon. Judge Joel Gonzaga Vercide, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region Branch 37, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, dated March 24, 2021 with recommended bail of ₱ 72,000.00. He is now under the custody of RT Lim Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Rape Suspect Arrested in Tungawan
Police personnel of Tungawan Municipal Police Station (MPS) together with 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, 905th Maneuver Company and 903rd Maneuver Company conducted law enforcement operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok 4, Barangay Loboc, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay at 12:30 pm of April 1, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Silvestre Andoy Gocela, 70 years old, male, married, farmer and a resident of Purok 4, Barangay Loboc, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay. The arrest was made virtue of warrant of arrest docketed under Criminal Case No. i-8333 for violation of R.A. 8353 Anti-Rape law of 1997, issued on March 31, 2021 by Hon. Joel Gonzaga Vercide, Presiding Judge Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch-37, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay with no bail bond recommended. He was brought to Tungawan MPS for proper disposition.
Man Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Ipil
Joint elements of Ipil Municipal Police Station and personnel from Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 9 conducted buy-bust at Purok Orchids, Barangay Poblacion, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 9:20 PM of April 1, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Benhar Karim Cosme, 24 years old, college level, married, resident of Purok Uranus, Barangay Bangkerohan, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. Confiscated items were: one (1) small sachet of suspected Shabu with estimated weight of 0.056 grams and two (2) pieces small sachets of suspected Shabu with estimated weight of 0.112 gram all with estimated weight of 0.168 grams and value of ₱ 1,500.00; 1-unit white cellphone, 1-unit gray motorcycle XRM RS without plate number, and 1-piece ₱ 500.00 bill (marked money) with serial number bc431092. The suspect and confiscated items were brought to the said police station for proper disposition.
Drug Suspect Arrested in Ipil
Municipal Drug Enforcement Team of Ipil Municipal Police Station (MPS) conducted buy-bust operation at Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay Sanito, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 10:00 PM of April 1, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Yves Guillergan Omar, 24 years old, college level, single, jobless, and a resident of Purok Kaimito, Barangay Sanito, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. Confiscated items were: one (1) small sachet of suspected shabu with estimated weight of 0.056 grams and three (3) pieces of small sachets of suspected Shabu with estimated weight of 0.168 grams all with estimated weight of 0.224 grams and value of ₱ 2,000.00; and 1-piece ₱ 500.00 peso bill with serial number BU906669. Markings and inventory were done in the presence of Hon. Nicasio Torres, barangay captain of Barangay Poblacion, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay and Miss Carina Pacumba as media representative. He is now under the custody of Ipil MPS for proper disposition, while the confiscated illegal drugs were turned over to Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for examination. A case for violation of R.A 9165 was prepared against the suspect.
Man Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Sangali
Police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 3 conducted a buy-bust operation on illegal drugs at Purok 4, Barangay Sangali, Zamboanga City at 5:20 PM of April 1, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Nidzmar Absara y Sali a.k.a. “Nidzmar”, 28 years old, male, separated, jobless, high school level, resident of Purok 4, Barangay Sangali, Zamboanga City. Recovered from his possession were One (1) blue coin purse, five (5) heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 6,956.00 weighing 1.02 gram and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of the said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Man Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Kasanyangan
Police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 4 conducted a buy-bust operation on Illegal Drugs at Asinan, Barangay Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City at 11:20 PM of April 1, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Wilson Abdulmajil, 24 years old, birth date unknown, with no educational attainment, jobless, not a 4Ps member and a resident of Asinan, Barangay Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City. Recovered during the operation were Three (3) sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 1,500.00 weighing 0.22 grams and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 4 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Taxi Driver Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Maasin
Police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 8 conducted buy-bust operation on Illegal Drugs at Zone 1, Barangay Maasin, Zamboanga City at about 12:40 AM of April 2, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Samuel Dingcong y Ulgasan a.k.a “Sammy”, 52 years old, born on December 14, 1968, male, married, high school level, taxi driver, resident of Sitio Bagakay, Barangay. Baluno, Zamboanga City. Recovered from his possession were Five (5) sachets of suspected Shabu with an estimated value of ₱ 2,500.00 weighing 0.0.36 grams and three (3) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of the said police station in preparation for filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered items will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Man Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Aurora
PNP personnel of Aurora Municipal Police Station (MPS) conducted drug buy-bust operation at Purok Dahlia, Barangay Poblacion, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur at 11:45 AM of April 1, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Randy Gaviola Romanaso Jr aka “Dodong”, male, 20 years old, with live-in partner, jobless and a resident of Purok Calubi, Barangay Poblacion, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur. Confiscated from his possession were one (1) piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected Shabu with an estimated weight of 0.04 gram and value of ₱ 272.00 and one (1) piece ₱ 500.00 with Serial No. PV924468 as buy-bust money. Inventory of the confiscated items were witnessed by the media representative of Kaugmaran Radio Station Nestor A. Digal Jr; Prosecutor’s Office Representative Marian D. Romanillos and Barangay Councilor Zandro Soon of Barangay Poblacion, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur. He was brought to Aurora MPS for booking procedures including the seized items for proper case disposition. A case for Violation of Sec. 5 of RA 9165 was prepared against the suspect.
