Police Cordillera Conducts Relief Operations In Cagayan

Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet – To help the victims bounce back from the destructive effects of typhoon Ulysses, the Police Regional Office Cordillera sent additional contingent to aid in the outreach and humanitarian efforts in the province of Cagayan.

The relief operations benefited 950 individuals and 445 families, the PROCOR contingent was able to distribute a total of 1,000 bottles of 1L mineral water, 45 sacks of rice, 14 boxes of canned goods, 3 boxes of noodles, and 1 balikbayan box containing assorted clothes and other assorted packed relief goods.

These goods were donated from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Montessori, Inc, Japan Tobacco Inc, Saint William’s Academy, Kalinga State University and from other kindhearted private individuals.

Combined forces from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion15, Regional Logistics and Research Development Division (RLRDD), Kalinga Police Provincial Office and Abra Provincial Mobile Force Company worked with other government agencies and civilian volunteers to ensure that these relief goods will be distributed to the most affected victims.

Moreover, from the medical team from the Regional Health Service provided medical assistant to some 561 patients and distributed medicines for kids.

In the spirit of volunteerism, PROCOR will continue to provide assistance in the transportation and distribution of relief goods to the families affected by Typhoon “Ulysses” in Cagayan Valley. (PROCOR RPIO)
