Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City – Philippine National Police Chief PGEN. GUILLERMO LORENZO T. ELEAZAR lauded on Saturday (September 18) the police response and apprehension of a suspect who killed his sister in J.C. Aquino Ave., Butuan City.
The video uploaded by a netizen on Facebook went viral on how the Butuan City police force captured Raymundo P. Cuenca III, 43 years old, and resident of Brgy. J.P. Rizal, Butuan City around 11:15AM.
The hero cop Corporal Jenos P. Asaron of Butuan City Mobile Force Company, dressed in civilian clothes, was able to grab the suspect’s caliber .45 pistol loaded with five live ammunitions.
“We salute the Butuan City police for swift response thereby preventing the incident from getting worse,” the PNP Top Cop stressed out.
Based on investigation, the victim identified as: Rae Jane C. Sobremisana, 47 years old, resident of Brgy. New Society Village, Butuan City sustained gunshot wound in her chest after a heated verbal argument ensued between her and the suspect.
The case of murder was already referred to the Office of the City Prosecutor on September 20, 2021 under the docket number XIII-01-INQ-21I-00327.
