Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez, Butuan City – Police Regional Office (PRO)13 correspondingly reinforced one doctor and four nurses from Regional Medical and Dental Unit (RMDU) in addition to one dentist and 15 nurses from Station Health Unit of Surigao Del Norte in support to the vaccination program in the area since July 24 to 30, 2021.
PBGEN ROMEO M CARAMAT JR recalls that the entire PNP medical force was put on standby to act as additional manpower in the vaccination programs of the government.
PNP Caraga medical force was able to assist the 5,465 persons who were vaccinated including 482 PNP personnel which was included by Local Government Units of Surigao del Norte.
“I am directing them to prepare the additional deployment of troops in line with the contingency plan for this vaccination,” he said.
RD CARAMAT JR also divulged that 400 vaccines from Department of Health Region 13 have already arrived intended for PRO13 personnel and is set to be administered on August 4.
“Vaccination drives may help flattens the death, reduce mobility of transmission in the community but wearing of masks and social distancing needs to continue to protect us against any strain of COVID-19,” RD CARAMAT JR concluded.
