The Department of Health reported 13,846 additional Covid-19 cases on Tuesday by the Department of Health (DOH), bringing the total number of infections in the country to 2,522,965.

“The relatively low cases today is due to lower laboratory output last Sunday, September 26,” the DOH said.

The DOH also recorded 39,980 recoveries and 91 deaths.

Of the total number of cases, 5.2 percent (132,139) are active, 93.3 percent (2,353,140) have recovered, and 1.51 percent (37,686) have died.

There were 58 duplicates removed from the total case count. Of these, 40 are recoveries and 1 is a death.

Moreover, 37 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation.

All laboratories were operational on September 26, 2021 but 7 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System.

Based on data in the last 14 days, the 7 non-reporting labs contribute, on average, 1.3 percent of samples tested and 1.7 percent of positive individuals.
