The Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center marked a milestone, Tuesday, with the ribbon-cutting and blessing ceremony for its newly renovated operating room, drug testing laboratory, new dental chair, and a mobile clinic provided by the national government under President Bongbong Marcos Jr.
The event was graced by Zamboanga del Sur Governor Victor J. Yu, Congresswoman Divina Grace Yu, provincial Board Members, and the hospital’s chief, Dr. Natzky Cagampang, underscoring the administration’s commitment to improving healthcare services in the region.
“These upgrades will significantly enhance our medical services and help us provide better care to the people of Zamboanga del Sur,” Dr. Cagampang stated. Governor Yu and Congresswoman Yu extended their gratitude to President Marcos, highlighting that the mobile clinic, in particular, represents strong national and local government collaboration aimed at expanding healthcare access.
The newly unveiled facilities are expected to address the growing healthcare demands in the province, providing crucial services to residents, especially those in remote areas.
