Zamboanga del Sur Governor Victor J. Yu amplifies the important mission of Information Officers in driving progress and development within their barangays.
In support of this effort, the province aims to achieve 100% internet connectivity in all barangays by early next year, with more than 70% already connected as of now.
To further enhance coordination among barangays, the province will also provide radio units as backup communication tools.
Gov. Yu made the statement during the first Barangay Information Officers Network (BION) Assembly in Zamboanga Peninsula, held on November 28, and attended by nearly all 681 BIOs in the province.
