The NFIs, which consisted of hygiene kits, sandbags, threads, blankets, rain suits, and reusable masks, are intended for the affected families in Barangays Balucanan, Salinding, Lagting, and Sibuguey, which were inundated by flood last November 16, 2021 due to the effects of Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao.

Based on the 24-Hour Public Weather Forecast of DOST-PAGASA, at 3:00 AM today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 675 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar (11.4°N, 131.6°E), embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to ITCZ/localized thunderstorms. Severe thunderstorms might cause to flash floods or landslides.
