Pagadian: P179 million Farm-to-Market Road breaks ground in Vincenzo Sagun

After more than 20 years of anticipation, the long-awaited road concreting project in Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga del Sur broke ground on October 15, marking a significant milestone in local infrastructure development.

Residents and local officials expressed their excitement for the realization of the project, which is seen as a key development in improving the livelihoods of local farmers.

The P179-million farm-to-market road project will connect Barangay Cogon, Barangay Linoguayan, and Barangay Maraya (Segment 1), as well as Linoguayan, Maraya, and Bularong, Margosatubig (Segment 2).

The event was graced by 2nd District Congresswoman Jeyzel Victoria, Engr. Marcos C. Aves Sr. (RED/Project Director of PRDP ZamPen), DIR. Macario D. Gonzaga (Project Director PSO Mindanao), DIR. U-Nicholas A. Manalo (Asst. Secretary for Operation & PRDP National Project Director), Vincenzo Sagun Mayor Jeffry Maaya and Sangguniang Bayan members.

Government officials highlighted the road’s importance in boosting the agricultural economy and improving access for local farmers. The new road will facilitate smoother transport of goods, enhancing livelihoods in the province.

Construction is set to begin immediately and will be completed within 446 calendar days, with the project expected to bring long-term benefits to the surrounding communities.
