A DENR Services on Wheels program was held at the Dumingag Municipal Gymnasium on October 17, bringing crucial environmental services directly to the community.
In partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Dumingag, the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Ramon Magsaysay, along with the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) and Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB), the event offered services including land permitting applications, CBFMA applications, chainsaw registration, legal consultations, environmental compliance support, mining inquiries assistance from MGB, and the distribution of 4,000 native Narra and Bayog seedlings.
Five recipients were awarded renewed Certificates of Stewardship Contracts (CSCs), recognizing their ongoing commitment to protecting the country’s natural resources. Additionally, 15 out of over 130 attendees were randomly selected to receive gifts such as water tumblers, lunch boxes, wooden spoons, mugs, and face towels as a gesture of appreciation for their participation.
The initiative aims to increase access to services for remote communities while promoting partnerships between DENR, LGUs, and stakeholders.
